So, I guess we shouldn't act like this is not going on. Some of us are sick, and by the sound of it, things are going to get worse.
I'm guessing that some people are already looking for a cure? If you're interested in trying to find a way to stop this thing in its tracks, you should respond here! Because if those people all put their heads together, we might be able to beat this thing.
I don't know that much about this sort of stuff, but I thought it would be good to get people talking so we can work this out as a team. After all, if this goes where we think it's going, it'll be a bad situation for everyone, right?
Thanks!

Considering how?

I ought to be done catching up with the current state of the science in a day or two. After that it's a matter of observation, research, and considering the chemistry of the situation.

And I'm not so sure a quarantine is the best course of action, either.

I'm just concerned that a quarantine would do more harm than good for the same reasons mentioned by others here. Isolating the ill would cut them off from any support and leave them as easy targets for those who feel threatened by them. And if they do transform, who's to say locking them in a room would stop them from getting out and harming someone?

But yeah, it looks like we can try and find some medicine, at least.

Even if it comes down to separating some people, I, at least, would be willing to keep an eye on things and I'm sure other people feel the same! The same goes if someone loses control of themselves.

They'll make the nausea worse, but otherwise they're pretty safe.

What that person said, about "sitting targets"... Maybe a few of us could volunteer to stand guard? [pen taps] But we might not have to. We could isolate the infected people somewhere and lock it up tight so no one can get in. Then the rest of us could hole up in an upstairs room, like the Chapel.
Whatever we do, it's important that we keep the infected people informed. They have to know it's safe to work with us.

I think with conversations like this, the people who are infected have to have some idea.
