[in a passable copy of Lelouch's handwriting]
[it looks like Lelouch's handwriting at first glance, but people more familiar with how he writes will be able to tell that it's not him. Okayed with player first, and I'm also cool with people calling Brainy on this.]
It has come to my attention that there are many people from different worlds and time periods here, and as such, I ask that people please fill out the following form, regardless of if you think your world is unusual or not. I'm simply attempting to establish a pattern here.
The name of your world: (Or worlds, if you are familiar with more than one. This is largely to keep track of alternate dimensions of the same world as well as to see if there is a pattern in points of origin.)
The time period you are from: (If at all possible, a parallel to Earth years would be useful, as that is what I am most familiar with and it will be useful in establishing a baseline.)
The standard technology level of your world: (A general overview of what technology is commonplace. There is no need for specifics, I am simply after details like communication systems, transport, and the like. In particular, are you from a time period where space or cross-dimensional travel is commonplace?)
Less common technologies that might be of interest to the institute: (No doubt obvious, but if we are able to establish some theories about what might be at work here, we can try to combat it.)
I will ask further questions if the answers call for them.

And why do you want to know? Why should I trust you?

It's happened before.

Yet you're still here. Clearly they're not that much better.

You'll excuse me if I don't believe you, considering that you have yet to tell me who you are. And is this information really so sensitive that you can't share it here?
no subject
And it isn't, but like I said before: your crappy forging skills offended me, so I'm holding onto it. You share, I share.
[same handwriting as the main post]
Yuffie... I believe I may have seen that name around before, though I still don't see why I should trust you.
In that case, I have no desire for what information you can offer. I'm not going to offer something sensitive that may result in me being attacked here and elsewhere in return for some basic information.

Why not just use a general anon, instead of sucking suckily at pretending to be -- oh, because Lulu's making a name for himself and the info network. Still, the least you could do is make it more authentic.
You could also just scribble your name down and remove it real quick. :)
[same handwriting as the main post]
Exactly. If I were to put this up as generally anonymous, those who have taken to harassing me would still know it was me. This is effective enough to provide a screen to deflect their attention. Meaning I can gather my information in peace.
Provided people stop posting irritating alterations or accusations.
Or equally I could not tell you my name. You haven't given me any real reason to, other than your own curiosity.

Aside from my word and the promise of sticking a thousand needles in my eye if I lie or betray you, there's really nothing else I can offer somebody this paranoid.
[same handwriting as the main post]
I don't have the time for something like that. And... it's not something I'm particularly good at, if you must know.
I see you finally understand my point. And I'm not paranoid, simply cautious.

[same handwriting as the main post]
Assuming I even trusted you to do that when we haven't met or spoken beyond this conversation.
...why do you care so much about this?
no subject
Now who's the one assuming? The Network needs all the help it can get.
[same handwriting as the main post]
I'm just being cautious, not hiding anything... detrimental.
..what Network?
no subject
Er, the information network that Lulu's (that's Lelouch) been working on setting up? Gathering and redistributing information, etc. Recon, intel, and tl;dr bulletin board surveys galore.
[same handwriting as the main post]
..I told you that earlier. Did you think I would go to such lengths otherwise? And I doubt you're in the same situation I am.
I've been.... out of commission for the past few days. I haven't seen much of that information around, but it does sound like something of interest with me. Even if I am a little unclear on what 'tl;dr' means.
no subject
It means 'too long, didn't read', and Lulu is the master of it. Except I usually find myself reading it anyway, go figure. The monster reports and his work on the Institute's timeline are posted every day, and you can usually count on at least a few other surveys popping up here and there -- like this one.
[same handwriting as the main post]
No, my 'trouble' comes in pairs; one with green eyes and red hair, the other with blue eyes and blond hair. They're the reason I wasn't able to see the network posts.
I had seen those. I like the idea. It seems more useful than what some others use this medium for.
no subject
You can't blame people for wanting to have a bit of fun in a dump like this. D'you already have specific areas and ideas you wanna work on? You could always talk to him about getting involved.
[same handwriting as the main post]
...yes, he does. I suppose you're going to tell me I'm lying now?
Unfortunately, some of that 'fun' seems to involve targetting others for your own amusement. I might. I'm hesitant to talk too much here, but I have spoken with Lelouch once already about something similar.
no subject
Hey! Who said anything about me? I don't pester just anybody, I'll have you know. Oh, you guys have spoken already? That's cool. If it comes to it, I could always pass a message for ya.
[same handwriting as the main post]
So I'm special in that respect? I suppose that's something. It's fine for the moment. But I suppose it would be polite to contact him, particularly after making this notice.
