Federal training? They're not planning on turning this place into a training facility for the army? I don't like the sound of this...

Apparently that's a good possibility.

With monsters running around, it makes the night seem like a testing period. And those 'experiments' that this place probably runs in secret.

Maybe. But it's some pretty sloppy testing. You'd think they could run more controlled experiments.

I know. Usually testing involves a more organized mission that would require real-life situations on the battlefield. Things that need tactical thinking and decisions.

Exactly. This isn't really teaching anyone anything new beyond how to kill monsters, and there's no way for them to get a good pattern of results.

If the entire planet outside these walls is the same as the town when night falls? Maybe this is a real-life situation around here.

The strange thing is that they could've asked us to help them. But almost everyone else here is from different worlds. It's utterly confusing to understand why they need us here.

Besides, what do they need us for? A tank could do the same job.

Well, something else other than just taking us away from our homes. I don't like to fight at all, but it's something I can't stop.

Or a fully armored tank with unlimited ammunitions, or laser guided missles, or fighter jets. Some of us have special powers that are probably more powerful than military weapons, but they don't work.

Maybe the monsters are the ones getting federally trained. We're just their energon goodies.

If they were getting federally trained, wouldn't the annoucements be on at night? That's the only time the monsters appear, unless they're being held in some secret room here.

I know that there's several people here that have experience in the military. Maybe last night was a test to weed out the 'unfit' ones?

Or to break people down further and make them easier to train. Just look at how grateful everyone was to be back here this morning despite it being the same prison as it was on previous days. People are becoming complacent and accepting of their position.

That is a good point(although the thought of it is scary). But at least some people are set on moving forward, I think. Everybody has something or someone important to return to.

But why would they bother with that when we know they can brainwash people? And really, if they're hoping we'll become loyal without that method (maybe it's expensive or something), they're probably wasting their time.

I dunno. I've got a lot of military service, and this...well, it's a damn stupid way to train anyone. And who are they training? Our 'real lives' rarely have anything to do with the army, unless we were already soldiers. The staff here may turn into monsters at night, but they're actual medical staff during the day.

And nobody on staff or in town carries themselves like a soldier or someone with military training.

If the entire world was in danged, they'll take anyone to train and fight for them. I hope they aren't planning on turning us into those monsters at night.

Or maybe they're training us to fight them. We don't know what the world beyond the Institute is like here. Maybe there are monsters everywhere.
