. . . Federal training? Does anyone know what that's about?

And does anyone have more information on what exactly happened to Landel?

What do you mean 'what exactly happened to Landel'?

Landel? Was he the man on the intercom last night?

If it was, that announcement over the night was all I heard from him.

Maybe they're using something from back before the Institute actually opened. So it's like a training exercise for the new staff, and for people to see what'll be going on.

I was in town, so I can neither confirm nor deny the facts presented here.

Though if the dead were walking last night, it is feasible that Alec Doyle was amongst them. Though why his 'dogs' would attack us, when we are prisoners of the man Doyle seems to want dead, is up for debate.

I think it's safe to assume that we've been caught in a war that isn't ours.

'Course then the question stands: Why is it necessary t'use an ancient recording?

You're leaving out the last word in that phrase - 'sponsorship.' It's vague, is the problem. There's no way to tell whether they meant to give some kind of training or just fund it. Still, those are two options open to investigation, if we assume that the announcement this morning was legitimate and not a false lead.

That's where I got stuck, too. I mean, normally they'd use Nurse Lydia for this kind of thing, right?

[identity profile] themotherreborn.livejournal.com 2009-08-09 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The only federal training I know of is for...well...government employees. I used to get fliers and brochures in the mail....

But it was for things like desk jobs and public service jobs. Nothing that would apply here....

No idea. If they're falling back on an obsolete system, it might not even be pertinent.

What's interesting is that it was an automated announcement, and not that Lydia woman.

Maybe the zombies got her.

[identity profile] thatdamnedninja.livejournal.com 2009-08-09 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Could be, but we can't really go makin' assumptions like that without some evidence.

I know, I was being a smart alec. More likely Landel wants us to think they were eaten by zombies last night.

Yeah, but what does he get out of it? Seems pointless.

If only he had been, that would be a gift in and of itself.

[identity profile] thatdamnedninja.livejournal.com 2009-08-09 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
If that's the case, I'm gonna kill him twice!

An enemy you think is dead, or even one you just can't locate, is more dangerous. If Landel takes himself off the radar, there are things he can do more easily than he can from behind his desk.
