Alien robots from outer space don't exist in the real world. Transformers were made up in the 80s so toy companies could sell toys to kids who thought robots that turned into other things were cool.

We see this a lot, actually: people who show up here that others remember as fictitious. It's happened to me, too. But everyone seems to be telling the truth, so unless you claim to be the only sane one in a madhouse full of people with identical symptoms to each other (and in which some of them regain their alleged powers at night) it's best to chalk it up to alternate realities and move on.
