Will SOMEONE please explain to my lead-brained, rust-ridden, overclocked low priority glitch of an excuse for a wingmate that HUMANS NEED TO EAT?!

I am NOT towing you if you go into stasis-lock again, understand? Doing it in zero-g was bad enough, but this is just STUPID.

Wingmate? He'll figure it out when he starts feeling sick. Shouldn't take more than a day or two before the hunger pangs get to him.

Fairly soon yes. Since it's only morning, he probably won't get them until lunch or dinner. I suggest saving some of your food or getting him to the kitchen tonight and feeding him there if he still refuses.

That said, if he's really adverse to eating, let him know that small amounts three times a day will at least keep him alive. It won't let him work at his best performance, but he won't die.

Uh, sure. Why won't he eat anyway? I mean, I hate most foods and I'm really picky, but even I eat some of the stuff here.

Alright...? You're probably the first robot I've ever talked to here. Um, nice to meet you.

If he's really disgusted by it, start with vegetables and work your way up.

What do people usually do?

And yeah, the human body requires a variety of nutrients in order to function properly. Vitamins which are usually gained from vegetables and fruit, and proteins from meats and dairy products. There are also things like minerals (calcium and whatever) which can also be gained through either. A good source of calcium is fish or milk.

Without the full spectrum of vitamins, the body will weaken and eventually get ill. For example, vegetarians who only eat plant matter are often lacking in certain proteins found only in certain meats. They often have to take supplementary pills to account for the lack in their diet. On the other hand, a person who only eats meat usually encounters heart disease and other problems from the lack of necessary vitamins in vegetables and fruits.

...which is a really long winded way of saying, eat the basic food groups or you'll end up with a really big doctor bill.

...oh. Well, that's unfortunate.

Considering we were made to integrate with the environment around us, we're actually fairly efficient. Especially since we're omnivores, which helps our survival rate.

...I see.

And it may be more efficient, but I'd say it's a lot lonelier. If you're not tied to any one place, then you really have nowhere to call home.

I guess everyone's a bit different then.

Not everyone knows what's best for them, even if it's something as simple as eating.
