[OOC Notes: So, you know that undisguised block print that a lot of L's notes are in? This is it! The doors on this diagram are not colored in... it was just a little bit too much for me to erase. An even larger version is available on request.]

Last night, someone started to tell me a bedtime story. I wasn’t expecting it, and they didn’t finish it--they suggested that I figure out the rest of the story for myself.

Has anyone else read or heard this kind of story?
Did you get any further than I did?
I know the library is a good place to look for stories, but I’d like to know what happens next.

[Posted initially at the beginning of 4th shift.]

St. John's Wort is a common medicinal herb.
The flower is small (an inch or less) and yellow with five long petals and a "burst" in the center.
The flower doesn't taste good, but it certainly improved my mood.
Try it if you can.

[If this disappears, a new version will reappear as soon as he can manage to get it up, as many times as he has to. If it disappears more than once, he'll physically watch the bulletin board to see who's removing it, which is not something that he'd usually do.

ETA: Feel free to contact me OOC-ly if we need to work something out!]

You've been presented with a problem in which it's imperative not to overreact, in spite of encouragement from "authorities" to do just that.

Don't take the bait. You know I can't say here what's at stake.

If you're not feeling well, solitude might be the best option until your health improves.

[In careful anonymous print:]

A question for participants in the drug trial:

If you experienced delusions or hallucinations, how long did they last?

I was injected last night, and I'm still seeing things. I thought this would be over by now.

[In the ordinary block-print handwriting that is identifiable as "Ryuuzaki's":]

Ilia,

I've heard we have some common interests. I'd like to talk to you today, if possible.

[The disguised handwriting, childish and straggling, associated with these messages]

LARS, FIND ME TODAY. I WILL WAIT ALL AFTERNOON UNDER THE WINDOW TO THE SKY.

Has anyone seen Howell since Thursday?

[Posted at the end of lunch, this note is unsigned and totally anonymous. The handwriting is neat print, along these lines.]

Today, we were categorized and ranked.
Your classification is on your tag.
What is it?
Do you know what it means?

[Posted near the end of fourth shift. The handwriting is messy, childish block caps.]

LARS,

I LONG TO SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS. COME TO ME TONIGHT, IF YOU KNOW A WAY.

Tainted Meat~

Let's meet later in the main west hall! If you're lucky, I'll bring a friend.

[In undisguised block handwriting:]

I am looking for the location of a golden book of riddles which I recall seeing yesterday. I think other patients have also seen it, and I would like to find it again.

If it's in the patient library, please tell me whether I will find it on an upper shelf, at eye level, or down below. If it's in some other place outside of the library, how far would I have to go to locate it?

*****

[In childish, disguised block handwriting, with straggling letters:]

LARS --

NO LONGER LOST IN MY DREAMS. ARE YOU?
FULL OF REGRET.

Dr. Jones, Mr. Lunge:

I propose that we attempt to continue with our research project later.

Where would new inhabitants perform onerous assignments?

I am very interested in computers and programming. The possibility that my skills will atrophy while I am here worries me; I want to be able to find employment when I am fully recovered.

I am wondering where any computers in this facility might be located, so I know who to speak to about requesting supervised access. For example, maybe my doctor will allow me to practice programming projects in her office while others are relaxing in the Sun Room or library, or possibly a nurse can arrange for me to use a computer somewhere else. Has anyone heard anything?
