I am very interested in computers and programming. The possibility that my skills will atrophy while I am here worries me; I want to be able to find employment when I am fully recovered.

I am wondering where any computers in this facility might be located, so I know who to speak to about requesting supervised access. For example, maybe my doctor will allow me to practice programming projects in her office while others are relaxing in the Sun Room or library, or possibly a nurse can arrange for me to use a computer somewhere else. Has anyone heard anything?

I've been told there's a terminal on the second floor here, but I don't think it's in a place patients are usually allowed.

There is also some access in town, but they're all old computers... and not even connected to the network or anything. Better ones are protected by unhelpful employees.

/not so subtle

I doubt you'll have much luck with Mr My-Mom-Makes-Me-Work-At-Megashits. I guess I can't stop you from trying though.

And I don't know... you'll have to ask someone else. Only other thing I've heard is - it's hard to use.

I've seen something.

What you're looking for. Like what your first replier said.

Have you been upstairs before?

Well, you can probably guess how to get up. You'll probably be taken there eventually, since sometimes patients are left in the chapel up there on weekends. Which must mean you're still pretty new, right?

When they take you up there, you'll pass a few doors until you reach the 'chapel.' It's the fourth one you'll see, I think. After that they'll let you explore the area as you see fit.

There won't be any computers there, but that's all I can tell you about the second floor.

Let me know if you figure out anything interesting about yourself while you're up there.

Well, I'm not sure if lounging is going to help you much. We're here to get treatment, right?

Didn't work too well for me, but maybe you'll have a better chance.

I had some difficulty with unusual inaccessibility when it came to programming projects themselves. You might have better luck, though; I'd give myself plenty of time to be convincing about it.

I hear the place a quarter of us sleep at night is where your prayers might be answered, though make sure you look up and think about what's above us. Approximately, anyway. There's always some searching involved before you get your answers. You know where what one quarter is, don't you?

I'm sure there must be at least one computer that's waiting to be used, but they could have more available.

[strikeout is a single deliberately neat line through the word; obviously meant to be read]

Near there. The larger out of them.
