So, there's a kid with a gas mask on wandering around at night apparently. Let me tell you about him.

He's from London, 1945. He wandered too near a site where a bomb was going to drop, trying to find his mom. Got crushed by debris. They took him to a nearby hospital, where he was expected to die from his injuries.

Unfortunately for us all, he was also infected by nanites. Which decided that everything ought to look like him, in regards to injuries and... the whole gas mask thing.

If he's touched you, you are infected. Unless they've reprogrammed the nanites - and I can hope, but I'm not going to assume that anything here is going our way - in a couple days you'll basically be a zombie that looks like him. If you touch anyone else you'll infect them as well.

If you've run across the little guy, how about you do us all a favor and not touch anyone for a couple of days until we see if the infection spreads like it did back then. Because I don't know about the rest of you, but when I come from, World War II gas masks are SO last season.

What makes it even sadder is that we fixed him and got him back into the loving arms of his mom. But apparently, they took the poor little guy from a time before that. :(

That's really scary and all, truly, but I have some questions.

Will throwing stuff at it slow it down or hurt the brat?

He's not fast.

There isn't anything you can do to hurt him, pretty much. He got repaired from normal human kid to Chula warrior in a tiny package. And any damage you might do to him will be repaired by the nanite infestation pretty much as quickly as it happens. Scary stuff.

Nanites... microscopic machines? That's been created?

If the nanites were to be broken down, would that stop the infection? You mentioned being able to program them, but is it only possible to stop them with such technology?

It's a complicated story.

If you have a method to break them down, that would do it. As far as I know, it's only possible to program them if you've got a Chula ship so you can talk with them, but if you have other ideas, I'm open. I'm a fighter jock, not a robot wrangler.
