Well, I have a giant butcher knife and a couple baseball bats. Maybe you should keep your smaller knives in addition to the shuriken, and I could take the bigger one? I guess we'll sort it out later.

Ah, well if I'm going to use a blade, it would be a Britannian one, because I fight for the Britannian army. I get enough heat for being Japanese, let alone if I actually used one of our traditional weapons. It would be even more of a scandal. But most of the time I would be using my Knightmare Frame -- a personal, weaponized combat machine -- and failing that, a gun.

You better still be talking about the nanny thing. And sure, maybe I will. I can't believe we haven't met face-to-face yet.

Interesting, interesting~! Lulu told me a little bit about all that stuff, and I gotta admit, it sounds kinda familiar. Since it sounds like you can fight without using a Knightmare Frame (weird name!), I'll let you off. Hiding behind machines is really dumb in the long run, I've found.

The machines were originally used because they cause a lot of destruction in a larger battle, and could overrun an entire country's defenses in no time at all. And obviously once other people start using them, the only way to fight them is with other machines. But I think I would prefer if they never existed. Do people usually fight hand-to-hand in your world, then?

I'm not a nice person. And yeah, we've talked so much, but never face-to-face. I guess that'll change tonight, though.

Familiar and double familiar. This is startin' to sound more like Shinra by the second. Er, it depends; there was a big mixture in the last big battle I was in. We had our machines, the enemy had theirs, but I was still using my shuriken and I know Cloud had his sword. Good thing machines don't stand a chance against us AVALANCHE guys! Oh, and there's always materia, too, but these days we try not to use too much of that.

Makes two of us. Yeah! It's gonna be fun. Say, whaddya think about forests?

Oh, huh. There's really no way to fight against the machines in our world without another machine, I'm sorry to say. If there was, my country might still be independent.

Forests? They're pretty cool, I guess. That's most of what's out there, right?
