To those who worked in a military or something similar:

What was your name/codename?
What was your specialty/field?
What was your rank/title?
What military or group did you work in?
Have you found any means of communication outside?
Were you fighting in a war that's destroying 90% of Earth?
And what are your goals now?

I'm sorry if this is a nuisance, I'm just curious. I'm not very good at tactics or planning, but maybe working together might nevermind. Anyway, I was a Captain and WAC in the SDF and worked at the frontlines. I haven't found ways of communication yet, but I'm working on it. My goal right now is to find someone important to me.

Captain Zelnick, of the New Alliance of Free Stars. I'm a pilot, mostly of the Precursor ship Vindicator, though I kind of... wound up being a diplomat, and commander of the New Alliance's fleet.

I had a visitor on... Sunday, I think; she brought me things from the life this place says I led. But she thought I was crazy. Aside from that, there are trips to the nearby town, where they all think we're crazy, too.

The war I was fighting would have ended in the slaughter of every sentient species in our sector of the galaxy if we lost it. I've never been on Earth itself, but in the war that Admiral ZEX was in, when we lost, only a few cultural and ancient structures were destroyed before it was sealed up in a giant force field.
