I'm sorry if this is a nuisance, I'm just curious. I'm not very good at tactics or planning, but ~~maybe working together might~~ nevermind. Anyway, I was a Captain and WAC in the SDF and worked at the frontlines. I haven't found ways of communication yet, but I'm working on it. My goal right now is to find someone important to me.

Hmm! There seems to be a good amount of military folk here...

My name was (and is) Admiral ZEX.

My specialty was interstellar warfare, particularly exploiting Hyperspace's intersections with Truespace. I was particularly skilled at taking out Syreen and Earthling ships, and fared well against the Yehat, although I could handle my own against almost any Alliance ship. I also dabbled somewhat in starship engineering, although I'm no expert.

I am still an Admiral, regardless of my exile.

I served the VUX military. I'd mention specific factions, but those became less relevant after the Ur-Quan subjugation. Most of them ended up under my command anyway.

I haven't found any means of communicating with the outside world.

I did fight in a war that resulted in the enslavement of Earth, although I don't think 90% of it was destroyed. That would have been terrible! I think the Ur-Quan only destroyed certain segments of it, if our experience is anything to go by.

I'm currently trying to find a way through the doors on the second floor.

How many military-related people do you think are here? And is it true that others are from different worlds?

Hmm... most of the people I've met here have been involved in the military in some way or fashion. As for different worlds, that appears to be the case. It's all very strange.

Here I look like a human... I was changed into a human body when I woke up here. I didn't think that was possible.

But regardless, I have yellow hair, and I believe my eyes are hazel.

I have found no means of communicating with the outside, other than the weekly trip to Doyleton - a small town to the south, which seems to be under Institute control (or at least believes its party line).

The war I fought in at home was the Crucible of Sentience - the same conflict as Admiral ZEX, although on the opposite side. Earth was not touched until near the end of the war.

My long-term goal is to find the center of operations of the Institute, be restored to my original body, and escape along with the others imprisoned here. My short-term goals are similar to those of ZEX.

I'm guessing that you're an alien as well. Are you the same species as ZEX? It seems like you have a couple of friends here, from the same world.

Yes, I've been fortunate enough to have people here whom I know. Or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it.

Also: ZEX and I are different species; he is a VUX, I am a Shofixti.

I can't really give you my name or the organization I was part of right now, but I'm an Ensign who specializes in hand-to-hand combat. I also served as the personal assistant to a starship Captain for a short time.

Like the notes above said, we're able to go to Doyleton once a week, but good luck in getting to a phone or anything like that. We also get visitors once a week. Other than that, it looks like we're cut off from the outside world.

A war broke out a few years before I was commissioned as an officer, but things were pretty quiet on that front before I wound up here. There was a war in my timeline that destroyed enough of Earth that it forced Earthlings into space, but that's another story. A lot of people here don't seem to know about it. Or remember it, I guess. Why do you ask?

Short-term goals -- exploring the basement, get more info on my "real life" here, that sort of thing.

Long-term goals -- find a way out of here and a way for everyone to go back to their respective homes. Protecting people close to me is high on my list of priorities, too.

Is Doyleton another institute ~~or a military base~~? And we get visitors? Are the visitors people we know?

I asked the war question to see if there's anyone else that came from my world. Where I come from there's a long-term war that's still going on and has left 90% of the planet in ruins. Japan is the only country that has most of it's civilization left.

I posted a message to him earlier. I hope he sees it...if he's here at all.

The war I was fighting would have ended in the slaughter of every sentient species in our sector of the galaxy if we lost it. I guess you can call it a survey of some sort, or a small attempt to find people from my world. I'm sorry if this is wrong. At first I thought that if military people were to work together we might be able to escape, but now I don't think that something like that would work.

It isn't wrong - it's just some of us are a little more cautious about giving out information about military groups. One never knows where one's enemies are.
