Just out of curiosity, is it possible for organics to live consuming nothing but liquids?

Also, do the refueling sessions ever serve drinks that glow pink?

I've seen a number of people talking like this on the board. Are you. . . something that's not organic?

And it is possible to survive on a liquid diet, but not with the liquids they serve here. I don't think they have the right nutrients in them. But I'm not really an expert or anything.

A. . . wow. I know of humanoid mechanical beings, but they aren't sentient. That would make things a lot more complicated I knew people here were from different worlds, but that's. . . really different. You must be able to get out of here really easily, then. Unless -- wait, why are you asking about how to eat anyway?

Yeah, pretty much, unless you can convince the staff to put you on a liquid diet for medical reasons or something. I don't think those are that great for you, either.

They did that to you, here? Really? The extent of the technology they have available is scary. I'm sorry, it must be a difficult transition to make.

If that's the equivalent to being asleep, I think that's when they did things to most people. When we all find a way to get out of here and back to our own worlds, we're going to find a way to fix this too. I'm sure of it.

If you're anything like the humanoid robots I know, then no, we don't. Good luck with the food thing.

It is possible, but only for a certain number of days. After that, the lack of nutrition will likely kill you♥

And...no. I don't think I've ever seen a drink glow pink.

Do you dislike the taste?

[identity profile] notachick.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Did you put syrup on it? Most of the breads and other such dry items are supposed to have some form of topping - syrup, fruit, butter, etc.

Also, I don't think machines can be fleshy♥

[identity profile] notachick.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
They probably thought you knew how to do it. Oh! And if it was the thing from this morning, you use the fork to eat it.

You're a person now. Not a fleshy crunching-machine.

There are three utensils the Institute provides in order to facilitate the patients in eating - a knife, a fork and a spoon. A fork looks like this (drawing of a fork), a spoon like this (drawing of a spoon), and a knife like this (hello little knife drawing). Forks are the most basic and used to eat solid foods. Spoons are for liquid foods like soups.

Using a fork would keep your hands from getting messy♥

That would be advisable, yes.

I was told that eating would make you feel better, and that nutrients are important.

Going without them is irksome, apparently. Your body will complain loudly until you do something about it.

[identity profile] haplesstracker.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd need to drink a lot of them for all the food groups. So you'd need the fruit juice, the vegetable juice, the milk, and...I don't know, do they make meat juice? I suppose you could drink the drippy bits.

Because unlike pretty much every 'bot here bar me, they actually like the taste. Burnt flesh just doesn't blend well.

I dunno, maybe it's a tracker thing.

It is possible, but not advisable if you wish to stay in a reasonable physical condition.
