If a nurse says that a patient has been discharged, what does that really mean?

Thank you in advance for answering my question.

It means they're gone, and probably brainwashed into thinking what the staff want them to believe. It's a painful truth, I'm afraid.

I wish I could explain better, but...I think it means the person in question was broken somehow. It would, I think, take exceptional effort to make most of us really believe the brainwashing.

I'm sorry it happened to someone you know.

I don't, I'm afraid.

So that's what it means. That sucks.

I wouldn't put it quite so crudely, but it's a fitting statement.

But...they're still alive right? Even if they've been brainwashed, it means they're alive, yeah?

Most likely, yes.

It means they're gone. Probably that something happened and they're brainwashed. That happened to one of my friends. I don't know if it's something they'd lie about if the person was dead.

I don't know. I've only seen him once.

He remembered everything from during the day. He was... upset, I guess. It's not a really pleasant thing.

In a few days.

Has anyone tried asking about someone they know was killed? It wouldn't look good for the staff if they admitted it--they might be able to explain away one or two deaths a year, but not that many a day.

It's the staff's roundabout way of begging for death.

I mean if they don't tell me what they've done with Crawford, I'll kill every single one of them.
