[Anonymous, Handwriting Very Much Disguised]

What would you do if there was a way to bring the dead back to life outside of these walls?

[All Homura's replies unless otherwise stated are also anon.]

If I could bring back those I cared about, I would try to do it.

I think my duty would be to destroy it.

Tried it. It doesn't work.

If there's a way, I'll find it.

Simply a whimsical desire, since there's not.

I've been wondering that myself. Some people are better off remaining dead.

I plan to bring him back. I'll play 'God' if it means he can get back the life I let him throw away.

It's not something you ought to meddle with.

Those who would consider reviving the dead should be prepared for any consequences. Going against fate can be dangerous, for man and gods alike.

Even so, I'll continue to bring her back as long as I'm able.

But the afterlife can be so entertaining.

The dead only quickly decay. But I would fix my reflection, repair the washed out painting, had I the ability.

It'd hurt, but I'd leave them be. A guy I knew once said "death is rest for the soul." Quoted someone else, actually. I believe him now.

I can understand why one might desire for such a thing, but it would be more merciful to leave the departed as they are.

Some do not undertsand the blessing that mortality is.

Handwriting is shaky, erratic

Anyone who tries it is a fool of epic proportions.

If I'd had the choice, I don't think I would want to have been brought back.

[identity profile] light-wicca.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
That...depends. Would there be a catch? Would they be back as their regular selves or

It's better to leave it be. It always is. You only end up hurting people.

[identity profile] never-learns.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
I... if it could really be them, totally, with all their memories in tact and everything, then I wouldn't be strong enough to not do it.

what's dead should stay dead

[identity profile] jurisfictional.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
There's a way to do it where I'm from, but it's kind of hard getting to the underworld and you have to exchange someone for another. You can't get something for nothing.

I...kind of have mixed feelings about it, because I'd be dead now if someone hadn't exchanged herself for me. I can't help but feel that there's something wrong about mucking with what's meant to be, but I don't know that I wouldn't offer myself up in an instant if I had a chance to save someone I loved.

[identity profile] himetsuru.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
The teknology to do so is no longer axesable. It has ben sealed and the key lost. There is a reson it was once forbiden.

[identity profile] totallytheseme.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like the premise for a bad zombie movie.

[identity profile] k4t4str0ph4l.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Easy - some people I'd kill twice.

[identity profile] braidless.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
I can understand why it would be tempting for people to meddle with such things, but seeing that death is a natural part of life, it seems foolish and cruel to pull people away from their rightful unity with the Force.

Even if they were slaughtered prematurely?

That sounded rude, but it's an honest question. If someone were murdered and you could have saved them, would you?
