A question to all who would be as so kind to answer, even though it may be considered an odd one at best:

Has anyone ever been close to experiencing death before finding themselves in this fine establishment?

Just a matter of curiosity, that is all. Any feedback would be well appreciated.

Well... I was knocked out by someone trying to stop me from arresting him. I saw a bright white light before I lost consciousness. I've always been told that it's a sign you're about to die.

But that was a few months ago and other than a big bump on my head and a nasty cut on my hand, I was fine. I haven't had any experiences quite like that again although I seem to come close a lot.

Yes, people do seem to describe that "white light" before death. I myself saw a green one actually. I'm quite sorry you've had to go through such a violent experience...

However, it doesn't sound as though you were close to that white light just before ending up here. Why did you even bother answering this Nonetheless, I thank you for your feedback.

Really, I think most of it was...just amazing luck at the very last moment. One moment I was on my last breaths, the next some miraculous intervention had occurred and I was safe.

Within a month or so, but not the night before. At least not to my knowledge. Someone could have attempted to assassinate me in my bed....

Pretty much, and I have no reason to doubt it anymore. The friend I saw just days ago at home suddenly looks many years older when I see him here. If that isn't proof that something's screwy around here, I don't know what is.

A fellow patient told me that the present year here was far ahead in the future from the one I lived in. And with the way this place practically plays with time, I'm forced to consider the possibility that this institute is some sort of [pen taps] destination that's above your normal, regular reality...

Well... As I had written before, I'm just curious about just exactly what kind of place this is, and I have been quite dissatisfied with information the staff have given me about it.

So far by the responses I am receiving, I am growing quite concerned that this institute isn't... [pen taps] on the same Side for the living...

I may be wrong though.

From what it seems like you've been doing some research. [Pentap.] I know that it might seem strange, but would you mind sharing with me what you've found (we can meet if you feel more comfortable that way)? I may not have a lot to offer in return yet, but I'd be happy to give you what I have.
