I'm not an expert in these things, but from what I've seen, humans show affection in different sorts of ways. You might handshake when greeting an acquaintance, hug for comfort or when meeting a friend, and you might get a kiss on the cheek if saying goodbye to someone close to you.
I've not heard of licking except from a dog or a cat. I'm not sure humans do that.
A kiss is where [ink blot as he's thinking of how to explain it] you put your lips together and touch them to something, like someone's forehead or cheek, to show you care.
And aside from food, I'm not sure humans lick for much else. I could be wrong, seeing how I'm not very experienced at being human myself.
Hmmm, not human. Wow, this place is something! So what are you then?
Uh, licking and jumping on... maybe not something most humans would do. But some might? People show their affection in different ways, so it really depends on what you consider showing affection, right?
For example, I'd show affection by asking a girl to marry me! I'd want to spend the rest of my life with the most perfect woman in the world!
Ah, don't tell me you tried to lick someone--or jump on them! How did they react to that? You've made me curious!
You could say that what's considered normal depends on the person, and the kind of affection. You wouldn't touch a friend the same way as a lover, after all.
All licking and jumping's gonna get you is a spot reserved on the sex offender registration list. Might wanna shoot for a pat on the back or a hug first.
Normal affection? I suppose it depends and what type of relationship you have with that person, be it a family member, a friend, or lovers. If you're with a family or a friend, giving them hugs would show affection. If it's with a lover, then [a few scribbles as she tries to list appropriate means of showing affection] hugs and kisses would be affectionate.
Licking somebody else isn't normal, and people don't usually jump on others (unless they're trying to scare the other person).

I know 'hello'.
Meant affection.
For friends.

Maybe a hug? I don't know.

You can say hello, you can give them your name if you want. Or if you're really that excited to see them, I guess you could hug them.

Re: [Kanra's feminine script]
What is different? Between friend and lover?
What is affection for friend?

A pat on the back should be enough. Hugs might be okay, but it depends on the person, really. You could ask for their permission first, I suppose.
