Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirateā„¢,

Are you all right?

threepwood: (Er...)

I'm fine, if you don't count the torturous thought that my shadow is going to pop out and gut me when I'm not looking or the fact that Elaine [a whole mess of scribbling and cross-outing]

You okay? You didn't step on any glass, did you?
threepwood: (It wasn't my fault this time!)

[personal profile] threepwood 2010-11-21 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
The lights seemed like a good idea at the time! It's not your fault that shadows are annoyingly hard to get rid of. They seem to be gone for now. I'm still watching, just in case.

Oh, and thanks for all the help.

threepwood: (That was unexpected.)

Not anytime soon since I've got [scribble] that memento from my wife, and I'll just get another one if I do. You keep that one. I could use an excuse to go exploring.

Your shadow too?

I have to admit I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one tortured by an evil doppelganger. Did yours have a sword in his pants, too?
vstheworld: (i can never get past that guy)

[personal profile] vstheworld 2010-11-23 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, but mine was way too glad to see me. And beat the crap out of me with a baseball bat. I didn't let him but he tried pretty hard to.

You haven't ever run into an evil doppelganger before coming here, have you? Like in any games past the fourth one?

threepwood: (So I'm thinking...)

[personal profile] threepwood 2010-11-23 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
Sort of? I met myself once in Lucre Island's local paradox-inducing swamp, but the one who came out of my shadow last night was more like me under the influence of the Pox of LeChuck. More evil-yar-har-har-walk-the-plank and less helpful.

Mine didn't actually hurt me, but he did trap us in a room in the dark. Apparently, evil shadows can exist without light. Good to know for future endeavors.
vstheworld: (did you just say what i think you said?)

[personal profile] vstheworld 2010-11-23 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Pox of LeChuck? When did LeChuck get so full of himself that he got his own pox?

Yikes. Good to know. We almost tried going into a dark closet to get away. Glad we didn't now.
threepwood: (Well...)

[personal profile] threepwood 2010-11-23 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
It's more like a faulty voodoo recipe turned him human and spread his bad mojo throughout the Caribbean, infecting scurvy seadogs everywhere with an insatiable lust for piracy and cole slaw. It's a mess to clean up.
vstheworld: (do you know the code?)

[As he's writing, Scott thinks about how much he wants to play Monkey Island 5 right goddamn now.]

Sounds like it would be. And your shadow had it you say? I guess that makes sense. Everyone's probably appeared whatever ways would affect them worse I think.
