[two notes]
[folded over, written in his usual elegant writing]
Locke:
Missed you this morning- I was hoping to speak with you at some point. I hope you've not already made an attempt at a grand escape.
Edgar
[And on a second note, pinned elsewhere and in the chicken-scratch cursive he usually uses on his schematics:]
I'm having trouble locating a book in the library. In it, a band of warriors fought a dangerous beast in an underground lair and were rewarded with a sword for their valor.
I wasn't able to finish the book, and I believe it is checked out now. If anyone recognizes the story, I'd be grateful for more information about the ending. What were the warriors to do with the sword? Did it have a special significance?

I thought it would help me get better if I read that one too, but it didn't. I'm still here. You might not like how it changes your perspective on things.

If there's a chance this could help not only myself, but other patients as well, then it's a risk I'm willing to take.

quick scrawl;
I can squeeze in a date later today. I have a few things I need to talk to you about, too.
