Two separate notes

Did some thinking through Mental Quest maps a couple nights ago. The path through the Room of Sun really is total bullshit now that I think about it. So's taking a party that's too big. I'm thinking of taking just the adventurer, the mage, and the costumed fighter with me and going in around the back door of the level instead. Think they'd be good to go at it?

First you don't tell me what happened two nights ago, then you don't tell me who this "Knives" person is! You underestimate my determination, Mr. Pilgrim! I will find out what happened and who Knives is!

I tried the back route recently. I'm not sure it was much better.

You could give it a shot, but being without a full group of four might be a problem. Unless you can get the guy with the sideburns of great justice or something, you might be better off waiting.

There's another level you could try, if you're interested.

How bad was it?

The sideburns guy is pretty freaking good too. If he wants to cooperate with the other players, I'd be totally cool with that.

My [pen taps] party didn't get hurt, but it cost a lot of time. I wasn't sure they were going to be able to make it to the next level before the clock ran out.

The next level on that path is a mine level, out in the woods. It's possible there's something good at the bottom of it.

Well crap. How ~~are we~~ am I supposed to get my characters down there? Wonder if it'd work to just speed boost through the Room of Sun and hope to get to the other side before any enemies jump out. That worked once before.

Ooo secret mine level. Tempting. Could be a good item or powerup down there.

Trade the man with the goatee (hint: he's an optional encounter between the Two Trees) for an item that will give you a lift? Trouble is, you have to make it worth his while, and I'm not sure what he wants.
