'Scientist' is an extremely broad term. You'll need to be more specific if you want any assistance. What field do you require experience in?

I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with science in general. I had to ask a nurse for even that term. Apologies if it's caused confusion.

This focus is on the analysis of a particular substance, and potential manipulation thereof. It's something that's had my interest as of late, and I was wondering just how one would go about it.

You'll likely need someone skilled in chemistry and possibly biology then. Both of which are fields I'm familiar with, among others.
