Federation Starfleet, actually. Earth. [hesitating pen mark] Year 2258.

Oh. ~~I'm sorry, I just~~ I made a mistake. Thought you were one of mine. It's been kinda confusing for me today, I only got here this morning.

2258? Thought we were in 2005.

That would do it. Don't worry, I was in your shoes just a few days ago.

It's... complicated. It might very well be 2005 as far as the hospital staff is concerned, but I wouldn't take their word on anything they tell you about this place.

That's when Wally said it was. Ish.

Well, it was 2258 where I came from, but for whatever reason, they're trying very hard to make this place look like late 20th century Earth.

That's weird. Why be in the future, but disguise it to look like the past when it's the future to a bunch of other people?

Why disguise it at all? I don't think this planet is even Earth, much less anywhere in the United States. And no one's convinced by the facade, considering what we all "dream" about after nightfall.

...Wait, "file an incident report" is a euphemism, right? It's really hard to tell these days.

No sir, I was going to report that the other party involved in the altercation was unresponsive to my request that he refrain from continuing to harass me, and that some other prisoners might react in the same way.

Are you intending to threaten him, sir?

Cheko-chan, are you okay? I'm sorry if I caused you trouble! Bullies are bad and that guy is one of the worst! :(

No, not at all Honey. You did not cause me any trouble--I don't know how it would be possible to cause me more trouble when I was in enough already. Perhaps I should be more careful when I choose who to speak with in the future.

I am glad you came to my aid, though I am sorry I had to involve you in something like this. I had no idea you had combat training, though.

He makes me so mad! That bully is nothing but trouble. His name is Lockdown and you should definitely be careful. If he gives you trouble though, let me know! Don't worry, I'll protect you, okay?

A report would be correct procedure if we were still in Starfleet, but do you really figure they'll do anything about it here? I mean, I don't think our personal safety is high on their list of concerns.

I was planning to make the report to you, sir. I also do not suspect that anyone is very concerned about it either--unless it becomes a recurring incident. Though I considered anything out of the ordinary happening to any of the crew is something worthy of relaying to you, Captain.

I don't think the regulations cover exactly what I'm supposed to with that report in an alternate universe, so maybe punching this guy will do. He can't be as bad as a Romulan, right?

I do not know, sir. I've never heard of a species that refers to humans as 'meatbags' before, so it is possible they are worse than Romulans, Captain.

Oh! I don't know Romulans, but I know that guy is a Robot (but I think punches will work ok)! Or he used to be before he got here. A really big robot that can transform into a car too! If you need help, let me know, ok? He's a bad man who likes to hurt people. :(
