In the universe I come from, these are the major global conflicts of 20th century Earth.

From where I was from, it was a global struggle between humankind and Gears lasting from 2074 until 2175.

The Brush Wars were a series of conflicts that occurred in Asia during the mid 20th century. Two world powers supplied arms to the smaller nations that were warring with one another.

As for the Eugenics Wars, they were fought in the 1990s, and were a result of scientists' ambitions to improve the Human race by means of genetic engineering and selective breeding.

Not surprisingly, I believe I am unfamiliar with these "Gears" you describe.

Seeing how many people's accounts of Earth history are vastly different from one another, that is the logical conclusion. I am merely verifying my theory, and attempting to estimate a period of divergence in our universes.

Your "Brush Wars" sound kind of like the Korean and Vietnam Wars. As for the "Eugenics Wars," though...I'm a product of the 1990s, and I can pretty confidently say that what you're describing is science fiction, not fact.

In the case of the Brush Wars, perhaps it is an interesting difference in terminology rather than a radical difference in history. Where I come, however, the Eugenics Wars of the 1990s are very much a fact of history -- a bloody one, I might add, considering it was the precursor to the near destruction of humanity.

They both sound familiar and both correlate with the history I am familiar with in some ways, yet they're still radically different.

Gears are lifeforms that have either been genetically altered or created to be infused with Magic, a limitless power source, and ultimately turning them into bioweapons capable of mass destruction. Most have been destroyed with very few exceptions.

In 2014, a group of scientists began what is known as The Gear Project, dedicated to genetically engineering and strengthening various lifeforms on Earth through the use of Magic. It was said to be a failure and the idea was scrapped, but in 2073 it was restarted and the group created their first perfect Gear a year later: Justice. This only led to the creation of more and more Gears, including humans who had been converted into them as well as the complete Gears.

Late 2074, the Gears rebelled against humanity under orders of Justice and destroyed Japan, leading into a war lasting over a hundred years.
