Captain Kirk, sir!

I really hope that it was a dream, but...

Sir if you are (still) here, I spoke with a medical officer of this facility, and she has informed me that we are currently on Earth, though she would not tell me what the Stardate was.

I, too, encountered the beings you describe. Fortunately, it appears the daytime hours are filled with less perilous activities, although we should continue to exert caution at all times regardless.

Were you or the Captain injured?

As far as our current location is concerned, what Captain Kenni says is correct. Last night I had the opportunity to observe the stars with another "patient". Their formations were completely unrecognizable.

Yes, this daily pattern of mundane daytime shifts being followed by nights of exploration and combat-oriented situations seems to be typical. I was informed yesterday's influx of "zombies" was highly unusual, however.

That was a wise decision. Those beings are dangerous -- should you ever have another encounter, avoid engaging them if you are able. They appear to be infected with a highly contagious disease that is transmitted orally. One bite will result in the decay and decomposition of all cellular tissue surrounding the wound, as well as the urge to bite those who are uninfected.

Those who exhibited symptoms last night seem to have improved today, but there is still much we do not know about the nature of this illness.

As there are three people, myself included, who can verify that the star formations are indeed unrecognizable, I do not understand why you think it is necessary to send a fourth person to specifically observe the sky. However, if you desire to see them for yourself and the opportunity arises, I will not forbid you from doing so, so long as you are aware that there may be hostile creatures roaming the grounds, and you take proper precautions.

For now, it would be best to use this bulletin board as a means of communication throughout the day. I will post a message for you in the afternoon if neither you nor I have heard from the Captain by then.

In the meantime, gather as much information as you are able. How you go about accomplishing this is up to you.

A "rough awakening"? Please elaborate.

The last instance I recall before my arrival is turning toward my post to take some routine sensory readings. It was approximately 1.34 days into our first voyage under the recently-promoted Captain Kirk. I was named First Officer just before our departure.

And yourself, Mr. Chekov?

That is peculiar, as I most certainly recall your presence on the bridge during our departure, Mr. Chekov.

The Captain's situation is considerably stranger. Are you certain neither of you sustained injuries prior to, or upon your arrival? Have you noted any difficulties with tasks you normally would not have had trouble in accomplishing beforehand?
