[in a neat, controlled script]

I am beginning an investigation into this institute. Having only arrived last night, I have several questions I feel must be answered in order to give my investigation a strong base. I am asking for the following:

- A summary of the Institute: its function, the way it works, patients, maps, etc.
- Descriptions of its 'key players': in particular, Martin Landel, the Head Doctor, and Alex Doyle
- A timeline of key events
- Anything else deemed to be important

All information would be appreciated, including notes or theories from other patients. Should the question of trust or authority arise, I will be all too happy to give my badge number.

[as an after-thought]

Why were the majority people absent fom the Institute last night? Every room I looked into was empty. Is this a regular occurrence?

I know of only two women to be heard over the intercom or radio. There is the head nurse, who sometimes does announcements when the Head Doctor is busy, and someone named Jill who briefly took over giving "help" on the radio after the death of Jack. I don't know if either of these women are who he's referring to.

We were taken to this town - Doyleton - as part of a weekly "field trip." This was my third time going there, but the first instance where we were left there rather than brought here before dark.

The head nurse appears to transform at night like the others do, but retains more of herself - her ability to speak, at least. The second appeared a bit inexperienced at the job she was trying to take over.

The town was literally swarming with the risen dead.

It is no concern of mine whether you believe me or not.
