damned_bulletin | (no subject)

To those of you who didn't already know, I'm attempting to form a network devoted to investigating certain aspects of the institute, organizing the information gathered, and redistributing it among the patient population. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the institute's monsters, the institute's history, and possible methods the institute is using to transport us here and dampen our powers. As this project is still in its nascent stages, current activities consist primarily of the aforementioned duties, but as we build a larger base to work from, this will lead into more specific pursuits that I hope will aid our eventual escape from this place.

If you're at all interested in joining this project, please state your name, provide some brief background information, and specify which area(s) you might be interested in working on. On that same vein, anyone who has any questions is free to ask them, and I will answer to the best of my ability.

A Cactuar? Is it a mascot?

Nope, it's an actual monster from back home. Cute little bastards. And the big bird is a Chocobo; you can ride 'em and stuff, for races and transport and farming. [Wings have been added to the pig.]

A monster? But it's cute and not rotting.

Most monsters back home don't do the whole 'rotting' thing. Actually, ones that do.... would be reeaaally rare, I think; it's not like here, where they change back and forth between 'normal animal' and 'weeeeird crazy monster'. Some people even think that they should be treated just as regular animals, but, well, they've never had a dragon trying to smash their head off.

But we don't have monsters at all where I'm from. I only know of the ones here, and the spirits and fiends in my world. But we never see those.

In that case, you're kind of lucky. Monsters cause all sorts of trouble, even the weaker ones. I guess that's why all the hype about "OH MY GOD MONSTERS" going around here confuses me; I'm used to 'em.

I suppose if you're used to them, yes. It was rather offputting to me when I first met them.

The first one I met was that yucky huntsman thing. Man, talk about bad luck.
