Search and Rescue

I want to thank those of you who went on patrol last night, and I would appreciate it if everyone would report in and let me know how they are.

To everyone else, and to those that are new here, I am still looking for volunteers to aid in Search and Rescue operations. I know there are people going to rescue those that get taken at night, but there are numerous other dangers, and the casualties haven't stopped. If anyone is interested in participating in patrols or other special operations at night, please let me know here.

What do these patrols usually entail? I might be interested.

The main purpose of a patrol is to locate people that have been attacked and aren't adequately able to defend themselves and intervening, and providing medical care or getting the injured to the clinic if necessary.

I see. Do any patrols cover the experimental treatment hallway, and if so, how many?

No, I haven't been sent patrols there because there are usually other rescue groups heading in that direction. The patrols are specifically to prevent death. I don't have anywhere near as many volunteers as I'd like, but I plan to send a team to rescue those taken for experiments tonight.

Right now I have only three people in addition to myself that are able and willing to go on patrols. Perhaps less than that for tonight.

Understandable. I have a vested interest in the experimental treatments that have been taking place recently; if you're sending a team tonight, I would be interested in accompanying them.

I'll keep you in mind, then. I usually put up team distribution near the end of the day, so keep an eye out for them.

I'll see what I can do. What sort of group would you suggest. Do you anticipate heavy combat in that area?

Sometimes there are monsters, sometimes there are not. I suggest a team with a healer as well as at least one competent fighter.

I don't have any healers, but hopefully I can talk the clinic into sending one of theirs along if they have any to spare. Most of the people that have volunteered so far are fighters.

Anyone with first-aid will work. Any healing can be done in the Clinic if you can get a person down there. Raine Sage is the main healer and my friend. She will be in the Clinic.

Not that I think patrols are a bad thing, considering what I've seen around here so far, but if everyone's out trying to help others, then how do we actually work towards leaving?

There are other groups working towards that, and if we have sufficient people to run adequate patrols and rescue missions I'll start working on that again.

I've got the basics of some first-aid kits for lab rats. Or will, tonight.

Some of it needs someone with a crash course on diagnosing shock, but anyone can hand out aspirin.
