British people (and I mean ones actually from England)!

I have two serious questions for you all.

1. What the hell is a crumpet, really?

2. What do poor college kids eat since you are the Land of No Ramen?

That sounds kinda of disgusting and something from like the eighteenth century. England can't be that far in the dark ages. Sure, they lack ramen, but they have to have some pre-packaged cheap food that doesn't sound like it's snot in a bowl.

We're hardly in the dark ages. Late nineteenth century actually, and I haven't seen a whole lot in the way of food like that. I travel quite a bit, but usually it's best to stop in and visit restaurants in town. The prices aren't that bad. And really I think you ought to try the food before you go comparing it to snot. Anything can taste good if it is cooked by someone who knows what they're doing.
