Since there are those rather opposed to lengthy survey posts, let's keep this short and simple, yes? I'd like to request that as many members of the patient body participate in a short, personal survey. It's mostly general information, and I ask that you be as specific as possible unless otherwise indicated. For the sake of safety and decency, do not sign a name or alias to your responses. This is simply for the sake of information.

* Male/Female
* Age - (1-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, other... specify if possible)
* What is/are your profession(s)? If you are a student, indicate so.
* How long have you been here? Be as precise as possible.
* Where are you from? (If you'd rather not give a city, a state or country will work fine.)
* What were you doing just before waking up here? (Again, be as specific as possible. If it's an uncomfortable matter, a general description can work)
* Where were you just before waking up here? (Be general, ie "out of the house" "at work" "en route somewhere" etc.)
* Your last memory: What time of day was it?

Optional - Anything else of note you may want to mention about the time before waking up here. Something out of the ordinary or significant? Or something new that may have started a little before moving here?

I suppose there's no way to prove good or foul intent, true. However, since I'm not asking for individual identities, this information does little good outside the sake of statistics. I can offer to meet you personally so you can gauge if I'm trustworthy or not, but due to the nature of this place, that also may not be enough to convince anyone too wary of this.

I suppose all I can do is ask that you consider offering whatever you feel you are most comfortable in giving.

Hmm, you have a point. Perhaps even without the name, I'm demanding a bit too much trust from the patient body. I'd say then, if you're uncomfortable giving out any information you feel is revealing to leave it out, but that very information may be rather important.

...Is this so much an issue of not knowing if people can trust me or because people don't know what this information is being used for?

Damn straight I have a point! As for the issue, try 'both'; all info can be revealing in its own right, and you're noth exactly being forthcoming with your reasons for asking.

Fair enough. As for the reason, I can't be too specific without risking the post being removed entirely, but I'll say again it is for the sake of statistics. I need to get a good general feel for the patient body as a whole. Similarities and differences alike. The individual data, I could frankly care less about. I'm interested in the whole result.

As for me... Well, I can't very well introduce myself to the entire complex, now can I? Besides, trying to get everyone to trust and like me would be a waste of time. It's an impossibility.

Man. And here I thought I'd found something interesting... 'getting a good feel for the patient body'? How about trying to work out what kind of person Landel usually drags here, and then working out the divergences/odd balls and what might be behind them?

Lemme take a wild guess: Lelouch has something to do with this, right?

Have you SEEN the sort of stuff that gets posted on here? I've been here for like seven days, and I've never had that happen. Haven't seen it happen with anybody else's messages, either, no matter how blunt they were. Which is suspicious in and of itself, but, yeah.

I have. And to be honest, most of it is pretty disturbing. That's why I'm not all that surprised to see some people are wary to participate. But I'd still rather be safe and try not to give more out than I have to. A stupid mistake can cost dearly later.

Perhaps it's because of that bluntness people have yet to make any progress in their escape efforts.

For what it's worth, I have some theories of my own as to the criteria Landel uses in selecting us. If you're collecting "statitstics" from these questionnaires, I'd like to have a look at them afterwards to see if they fit my suspicions.

It's a bit involved, but the short version is this: I think that Landel is either digging for something, or trying to make a complete set of something. But I don't know what, and to figure that out requires some idea of what he has now and what he's willing to throw back after catching.

To be frank, from what I've gathered this has been going on for far too long. No one should be subject to this abuse, let along for this amount of time. If we can figure out anything that can even slightly help the situation, I think it's worth it. We can't simply sit back and push to survive day to day.

While I'm certain this is a good idea in theory, I'm afraid I have a couple of problems with it in practice. First of all, considering that certain other inmates can be just as dangerous as any night-time monster, I'm reluctant to give away too much information about myself - and second, since there are so many people collecting different pieces of information, I can't help but feel the efforts are too chaotic to produce anything useful.

I can accept that. I'm only asking for what people are comfortable in giving, and if people would feel better saying nothing, that's fine. I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry.

However, I do have to dispute the chaos of the informational efforts. Perhaps it only seems that way because no one is considering anyone combining their efforts. There are, perhaps, too many people working individually. I understand it's pointless to hope this amount of people can ever hope to work together as a single unit, but we must move forward with whoever we can.
