1. Are there any here that consider themselves experts in chemistry/alchemy?
2. Has anyone come across pre-processed charcoal anywhere in this institute?
3. I need a far more detailed map than the one I possess; specifically, one that shows which doors are locked and which are not.

I do not suppose you know of which woods make the best black powder-grade charcoal, do you?
And related to that...how are you with chemical decomposition? Specifically, the extraction of sulfur from barium sulfate?

I'd rather not give out everything I know over the message board. I like to remain in control of the information I possess.

As I have posed to the individual above, is it possible to extract sulfur from barium sulfide?

It is possible using alchemy, but it takes a lot of energy to perform alchemy here so it would have to be worth my while if you wanted me to do it. Itherwise, you have to hydrolise the barium sulphate or react it with acid. You'd probably need some proper equipment.

Great, another blackmaiAs I feared.
The most I would be able to offer you is the end result of the combination of the sulfur with two other products, for at the moment I lack any other kind of compensation. In the meantime I will attempt to investigate hydrolysis and acid reduction of barium sulfate on my own. I will make another post in the future for you if your services would be needed.

As you can see, it's best not to mention such things on so public a forum. I appreciate your concern, however; it is always good to know that a leader has the sympathies of his followersno subject
They would have found out soon anyway. Not my fault the big slagger is so nosyno subject
