Search and Rescue

It has come to my attention that the casualty rate here is quite high.

In order to stop this I am looking to organize Search and Rescue teams to put an end to this.

Anyone with military, law enforcement, or paramedic training would be appreciated. In addition if there are any combat specialists willing to take on a challenge we could use people that can handle a tough fight.

Lastly, I would appreciate it if someone organizing the patient clinic could get in touch with me so we can coordinate.

For those I've already spoken to, let me know if you're willing to help with this so we can determine teams and patrol paths.

Search and Rescue is a pretty broad name. What exactly are your goals behind this group? I currently help run rescue on experimentation nights with another couple people.

The reason I help run rescue is because no one that gets taken to those rooms deserves to find themselves alone afterward to fend for themselves. I would like to continue doing so, but if you are of like mind, I'd like to meet sometime.

Eventually, seeing that much pain and torture gets to a person, even if they come from worlds where it is prevalent.

I probably will at some point. Even the rescuer needs time to meditate.

You're the guy with the stars? Maybe we'll cross paths sometime.

Good to know. I am also a combat specialist, as you put it. I extend the same offer; If you need my help, let me know.

I'm a prosecuting attorney back home. I'm not so good with the combat side of things, but I'm more than happy to use the connections and information-gathering abilities I have in order to help out how I can.

This is a good thing you're doing, Mr. Cole. It's appreciated.

I may already have some of that information, and am working on collecting more of it, through a series of collaborations. I would, though, be willing to speak with others and make reports - it's second nature in my line of work.

The person running the clinic is Tamaki Suoh. If you put his name or the name of his clinic, the St. Francis Aide Society, up on here, he'll be more likely to respond. At least, it might get his attention faster.

I'm also running rescue up to the experimentation rooms on the nights people are taken. If you want to talk about coordinating efforts, I'm open to the idea.

There's no way of knowing who will be taken, but having at least one team go up there every time will ensure no one is left behind.

And there is no guarrantee about the room or the way there. I've encountered creatures in the halls leading up to it, in the areas around it and in the rooms themselves some nights.

The first time I went though: nothing but the patients.

I have a lot of military experience, just not the fighting type. When it comes to organizing, though, I'm second to none. I'd be glad to help out.

Well, that doesn't mean I can't help you, too, right?

In my own world I was a military strategist.
Once I get an actual weapon, I may be interested in this, though I don't know exactly how much help I'll be.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's thought about this.

I know of some people who would be able to help, but I'll have to check with them myself. Is it okay if I get back to you later?

I was studying to be a lawyer back in my own era, but I've already started a project of my own here. My best friend was a soldier, or so he says.

I was an inspector of police before I arrived here. I strongly prefer investigation to combat, but am willing to take part in either as needed.

That said, how do you plan to prevent the unusually high number of disappearances that have been taking place as of late?

-Javert

[identity profile] unmocked-lawr.livejournal.com 2009-03-29 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I see. I knew quite a few people who have since gone missing; that's an area I'd be more than willing to investigate.

I agree. The more information we have concerning what takes place here, the better.

The casualty rate has been high this entire time, Marcus. So glad you could join us.

I've been tracking all the disappearances and deaths since I came here. Do you have some sort of plan beyond your normal reactionary measures?

[identity profile] tartaros-avatar.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I do what I can.

The last time you did so was over 70 years ago, Marcus. It went rather badly. Although I will concede that what happened at the museum certainly worked out well.

[identity profile] tartaros-avatar.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Why do you feel the need to hide it, Marcus? It's nothing to be ashamed about.

Certainly. Whenever you have the time, of course.

[identity profile] tartaros-avatar.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it really that bad for you? I thought you liked it. You should tell me these things, Marcus.

I think I can manage to wait that long.

Hey, lay off! The guy's just trying to help people. Give him a break.

[identity profile] tartaros-avatar.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
And Marcus has no sense of humor. It's quite depressing sometimes.

And while imitation might be the highest form of flattery, don't let yourself become as boring as he is. It doesn't satisfy anyone.

Just wanted to check in and say I'm still willing to help out, where you might find another set of trained hands useful.
