To Those who are not Human (in that when you were brought here, you were changed into a human body),

I have reason to believe that our original bodies and the method that was used to change us from one form to another are located on the third floor of the Institute. Some of you may already know or suspect this, but some may not, and that is reason enough for this notice in my eye.

From the maps that have been posted up here, it seems that no one has been able to gain access to the third floor of the Instititute thus far, judging by the lack of maps for that area. From what I've heard, attempting to reach the third floor from outside the facility will not work - the windows will not break, and the flying creatures will harry your progress. That leaves finding access from inside the facility itself. There are some locked doors on the second floor that I believe have yet to be opened.

I apologize for my poor rendition, but I'm not an artist, and hands are still difficult for me. You can see that I've circled (or attempted to) three doors south of the railing overlooking the Sun Room... as far as I'm aware, no one has found a way through these doors (if you have, please contact me). Since stairs seem to mostly be located in the southern parts of the building, it is possible the stairs for the third floor are hidden behind these doors.

It's safe to assume that, if these doors do indeed lead to the third floor, they will most likely be locked and guarded, and probably will not open without a great deal of force. Someone suggested using explosives to open them in this case, which may be the best option. If anyone has succeeded in creating explosives of this magnitude, I, and others I'm sure, would be interested in obtaining some for this purpose.

If you have more information regarding the third floor, please let me know.

If you are non-human, have been taken for Special Counseling, and were returned to your own body for that night, I would be very interested in hearing what you can recall of the experience.

I think it's highly unlikely that our original bodies are still here, however I'd be interested to learn if the technology used to alter us is there.

Either our bodies are still here, and we are being swapped between them and a human body as the Institute sees fit, or there exists technology that can seamlessly change one organic body (and in some cases, inorganic bodies into organic bodies) on a deeply fundamental level into another entirely different body, while granting it no knowledge of that body or how it works.

Either way, it can apparently be reversed, so the exact method isn't so important at the moment.

Incorrect. There exists technology on my planet that would allow the consciousness to be copied and transferred to a new body, allowing the original to continue on none the wiser. I believe this to be the case here.

However I believe I also discussed it at some length with someone else recently.

In my particular case, my original body would not continue to exist.

Then that would be unfortunate for you. However it would be possible to create a duplicate body for you via cloning, though this raises questions of what would happen to the personality and mind of that body once you were transferred into it. Of course, I'm curious to learn what happened to the original minds or inhabitants of our current forms as well.

I suppose if the technology was advanced enough, the "original" bodies that some of us are returned to after Special Counseling could just be replicas. But they still would have to be stored somewhere in the building, one would hope, and a replica is better than nothing...

I do hope I'm not displacing the original owner of this body. It seems cruel.

I'm unfamiliar with this 'Special Counselling', so I can't really say what would seem to be the most logical method of dealing with it. But if, as you imply, people are returned to their bodies for a time, then it would depend on how frequently the returns occurred. People regularly finding themselves back in their normal forms would imply that replicas are indeed on hand, but if it is a rare occurrence, it could just as easily be a case that once they are no longer needed, they are simply destroyed.

Regardless of the possible cruelty of the situation, you didn't have a choice, so shouldn't hold yourself responsible.

A compatriot of mine was taken for it the previous night. From what he described, he was drugged and taken to the third floor, then returned to his original body. Then he was set on the patients here. The body he inhabited felt so much like his original that he could not say for sure if it was a replica or not.

It is possible that the bodies are replicas, and they are destroyed once the night is over. Hopefully the third floor may have the means to recreate them, or at least some explanation of what happens here. Even if it does turn out that our bodies are not here after all, I'd feel better knowing this for sure.

Hmm... If the technology is there, then I should be able to find a way to get it working. Then we could reverse the effect or equally look into creating new bodies and transferring into those.

If you should happen to find anything, then I would be most interested in taking a look at it.

I'll make sure to contact you if we do find anything. The technology to accomplish this sort of transfer is far beyond anything I'm familiar with.

Do you know when you plan to go? I think I would like to follow.

I think it would probably be best to investigate these doors first so we can get a better idea of how much force may be needed to open them, and then work from there. I'm not sure if I'll have the time tonight, but perhaps I can arrange an expedition tomorrow. I would be quite happy to have company!

What can you exchange for explosives?

I've had some success in getting patient files so far... I could retrieve yours for you. If there are other things you are looking for, I can also do my best to obtain them for trade.

[An extra note of what is needed has been left, it includes everyday items like cellotape, bin liners, screwdrivers and screws to scrap metal and a soldering iron. Basically, it's random shit that might make a bomb but, not being a bomb maker myself, I don't know what XD Sorry]

I'm afraid I don't know what many of these things are... but I have some human allies that might. I'll ask them if they have access to any of these things.

I might be interested in pitching in if anything turns up. Don't have explosives, but i'd be willing to work as brawn. I'm getting pretty slagging sick of this 'being human' shtick already.

So instead of 'transformed' we are 'transferred', and our original bodies are supposed to be on the third floor? Interesting theory. An investigation on gaining access to it would be in order. I do like to come along when you plan to go.

That is my current theory, and the one that I hope is true. It'll be hard to say for certain until we know more about the third floor.

I hear talk of 'explosives', are there people knowing how to create them? When we cannot destroy these doors, we should look in how to acquire means to unlock it otherwise. I believe humans do so with 'keys', correct?

If I recall, there are a few people I know who were working on such things, although I'm not sure if they've had any success so far. If we can't destroy them, then that does leave the possibility of keys... the staff here would most likely keep them. We could get lucky and find them in the doctor's offices, or perhaps some of the nurses here may carry them, if we find them. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll be easy to find...

I agree, the staff would most likely know how to gain access to that particular part of the building. I don't think they'll be too keen on parting with those keys, however. During the day would be rather difficult considering those orderlies. Perhaps defeating them during the night would yield some results, though I have heard they are not an easy opponent to bring down and there is the matter of locating them. I admit I am not much of a fighter myself, so I am not too keen on seeking them out unless accompanied by someone who knows how to fight.

They definitely won't part with them easily. It will probably require finding one of the changed nurses at night and defeating them, which will be a difficult task on at least two fronts. That is, of course, assuming they'd have the keys we're looking for... this will most likely be a venture that will take some time to see to completion. But if the reward is a return to ourselves, then...

I think many of us that have been changed are in similiar situations, in that physical combat is not... our forte in these bodies. I know I am not much for fighting myself in my current form. But there may be others that aren't so affected by this change. I have some human allies that could be useful in this area...

Ah yes. It'd be a nuisance if they don't end up having the keys after all. I do wonder how else to acquire them. A killing spree among the abominations might be fun to some patients, but it is hardly efficient.

I do suppose it is worth a shot nonetheless.

Hn. If we can indeed acquire human allies, trying to locate the nurses and see if they carry any keys is a goal that can be realized.
