[strikes illegible]

[The penmanship is shaky, as though whoever wrote it was trying as hard as they could to keep a steady hand, despite being drugged.]

Has anyone here had any trouble with the CIA? The American government in general? or treadstone or blackbriar

[There is a splotch of ink - the author appears to have rested his pen on the paper here, perhaps trying to pick a name to sign with and deciding against it.]

You could say that. Had a lot of dealings with them, at least, and they don't like me much any more. Look me up if you want to know more. 5'3", black hair, sideburns. Canadian accent. Not available at lunch but I'll be in the showers in the afternoon. - Logan

Sounds like we might have something in common, then. If I make it out of the showers in time, I'll look for you around the place. - Logan

In what way?

[identity profile] tony-castaway.livejournal.com 2008-08-05 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if this is what your looking for

Warner Karman told a sheriff in Fairview NC he worked for the Treasury Dept and offered $1000 to anyone who caught me and Tia

Thats hard to explain

I think Mr. Karman works with a man who wants to take us out of the country

That could be a dangerous thing to be asking, out here in the open like this.

But yeah, I've had a run-in or two with them. What's left of it, anyway.

There's not a whole lot of actual government anythings left where I'm from.

Seattle, Washington, most recently. I move around. But the where's not really important, it's the when. It was 2021 before I woke up here. Then again, everyone here seems to be from their own little version of earth, so my present isn't necessarily your future.

The American government upholds the values of laissez-faire capitalism and the free market.

I approve of it.

Oh, trust me. I know. They locked a friend of mine in a basement and prodded him with things. They also desperately wanted to lock me up and experiment on me, but I foiled their devious intents!

Just because there are some anti-me branches of government doesn't mean I can't approve of its philosophy or the system as a whole. We just need to eradicate those specific agencies. Which we already did. Well okay, I wasn't there. But I'm told the annihilation was quite thorough.

I'm being carefully watched by them, but I can't say I've dealt with them personally. Most likely, they are too smart to risk going up against me.

But no, this place, although it is in America, is not being run by any major government organization. That I am aware of yet.

Oh yes, the FBI, CIA, KGB, and a few other government agencies. They all have satellites trained on my manor. Goodness knows why they bother--they must know that I'm aware of their efforts.

I'm not saying that governments aren't involved, simply that they are not behind this. Martin Landel is not a military man, but many have speculated that we are test subjects of some sort. Which means that these results must be used somewhere, and considering we are in New Jersey, it could only mean that the information is being put to militaristic purposes. That is, after all, what this country specializes in, isn't it? The military?

Fair point, fair point. I suppose that is supposed to intimidate me, or act as some sort of strange invitation.

Some say we are an army, but many argue that we all would make a very poor army--given our tendencies to fight amongst each other. My own personal theory is that our strengths are being studied for weaknesses and replication purposes.

You would think so, yes. However, some of us are not even sure about the mechanics of our powers or how they came to be. Also, why would our powers be stripped from us if they were being tested? There are too many holes in each theory.

I've had a lot of trouble with them, you could say.

Most of us here aren't American. And a lot of us aren't subject to earthly laws. If you're thinkin it's those CIA people that put you here, that's one thing you don't have to worry about.

Governments or militaries or scientists are only trouble. Anyone that has the misfortune of drawing their attention has to deal with the life quickly becoming worse than it was.
