If you remember any of these details, please reply with the following information:
An estimate of how much time passed between nightfall and when you lost consciousness
How many people you traveled with, if you left your room
Where you traveled
Any monsters you encountered
I'll be using the info to figure out what variables affect the institute's time dilation. If I'm right, we'll be able to maximize the time we're conscious and plan around predictable pitfalls.
If you couldn't keep track of time last night, please do so tonight. I'll be collecting data for three days before posting the results.
[added slightly later]
If you're unable to answer the first question because you found it unusually difficult to keep track of time, please note that as well.

If the spider was anatomically similar a normal Earth spider, the easiest way to kill it would be to force something long into one of its eyes, aiming back towards the bulk of its body. That's where the brain should be located. If the thickness of the exoskeleton is proportional that of a normal spider, its armor would be about three times as hard to break as human bone. The eyes are the only unprotected parts near anything vital.

You can always freak out over the nastiness of it after the spider is dead. Then wash your hands.
