Steve, Peter, Harry, Tony or... whoever, I guess.

What's going on tonight? Are there any plans?

[in flowery, formal script]

Messrs. Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin would like to congratulate the young lady who so heroically leapt up onto a table this afternoon to declare her independence from our poorly-dressed oppressors. We, the undersigned, regret that we cannot yet do so in person; we felt it unwise to do so, given the nursing situation. We beg your indulgence, fair lady, and pray that we can meet you in person as soon as possible to personally convey our gratitude for your noble actions.

Again, dear lady, thank you. You have inspired us to action, and we can only hope that the rest of the patient population were similarly moved. We pray that they, too, will be compelled to behave in such a way.

They cannot keep us down forever! We shall overcome!

Signed, your comrades in mischief,

Hitachiin Hikaru, Esquire
Hitachiin Kaoru, Esquire

Hijikata-san,

I believe we got off to the wrong foot. I'd like to speak with you, if you'll give me the opportunity.

S.E.E.S.,

How many of you will be available for an excursion tonight? Akihiko has the assignment, if you're interested, and will be coordinating a meeting point.

Amada, are you well? I don't think we've heard from you all day.

Is gift-giving all too common? Or does the easy giving point to a lack of meaning? It's somewhat strange, and altogether unnerving, to experience from strangers what family won't give.

They say kindness is a virtue, but I'm considering it a curse.
