Hmm. It seems I have a bit of a problem. I even asked if they had it in the library, but no luck! Somehow, they've never even heard of it.

Anyway, someone reading this probably can help. I'm looking for a book. Icha Icha Tactics. See, I didn't get to finish the last chapter just yet, and I want to know what happens next. So I'm hoping someone here has a copy of it that I can borrow.

Oh, but even if you don't? Don't spoil the ending for me.

WAL LEE,

I am very sorry for not coming to see you last night as we had agreed... for various reasons I was not feeling my best, and I did not want to meet with you when I was in such a poor state. I should have notified you, but I did not have time before night fell... I do apologize. Perhaps we can reschedule? If all goes well, then I should be in better spirits tonight.

Admiral ZEX

---

DON NAA,

I enjoyed speaking with you yesterday at lunch. Perhaps we can do so again soon? Please, let me know.

Admiral ZEX

---

RAY NER [this name is very shakily written... VUX letters don't account for the syllables in Rainier easily],

It's a shame we didn't have more time to discuss things of interest to us both. I'm still intrigued by the topic of our conversation... and very open to exploring it in more detail.

I do hope I did not spell your name incorrectly... human names are still very strange to me, and do not translate easily into writing for us!

Admiral ZEX

---

KUN ZYT,

I apologize for my behavior last night... I was having some difficulty, and did not behave well. I did appreciate your concern, although I may not have made that clear at the time. I hope you will not hold such a lapse in control against me, or assume that I am usually one given to such histrionics.

Admiral ZEX

---

My human Captain,

Thank you for your assistance last night... I very much appreciate it.

Admiral ZEX

I'm really, really sorry--I shouldn't have fallen for the tricks this place plays. I hope I didn't hurt anyone too much.

Javert: Um... I'll see what I can do tonight.

Report on your progress from last night.

To those who are new: you'll learn about the horrors of this place soon enough. This group is one of those seeking escape. Assignments are given out nightly for any who are interested. Be aware that any task could potentially put your life at risk.

Anyone wishing for an assignment, leave your name in reply to this.

Kenren, Himura: I need to speak with you both at breakfast. It is urgent.

To Those of You That Chose to Enter the Cafeteria Last Night,

Please forgive me. For those of you I froze, burned, and transformed (especially those that have been transformed, there is nothing worse than changing one's normal form), I hope that the injuries are not so serious in a way that I cannot also fix. I especially apologize to you, Master Xigbar, I did not realize that Imps were so very aerodynamic.

To that trio of youths that I had attacked, there is little I can do than to continually offer my apologies. I will not hide behind the Institute's abuse of my abilities. I am terribly aware of my actions.

I'm sure you're all expecting an apology. Guess what? I'm not sorry we got to have some fun with you all - I'm only sorry it didn't last past a night to be ourselves and be who we're really supposed to be.

As it is, we're feeling pretty damn cheated. Where the hell is our promised prize?

Claude-san,

I have that item finished if you still don't mind taking it to my cousin the next time you meet with him. Is there a time I could meet you and drop it off? If you're still willing to that is, I hope it's ok.

Thank you!

Thanks, everyone who showed up at my room last night. If you didn't get a chance to make it and you're still interested in helping, that's fine. Just let me know by leaving a note here or stopping me at some point today.

Those of you who are interested in learning about our false lives: the best way to do so quickly is to find your files in the first floor file room or head up to patient possession storage. Quite a few of you expressed interest in that, so if you'd like to do so and don't have obligations to a club, post here and we can assemble a group.

Those of you who are interested in how patients are chosen: The best way to find these answers is to get our hands on the discharged patients files from the room on the second floor. Presumably, Landel discharges us when we're no longer of use to him. Answers to the questions below may also prove of use. I fall into this group, so if anyone would like to try to make it to the second floor file area with me tonight, leave a note. [added] I may not be able to do so this evening. I'll post later with a definite answer. If not, we can try the following night.

Those of you who are interested in the science of how the institute works: Aside from collecting data from other patients, I can't think of any way to further investigation. If you have one, I'd be interested to hear it.

Questions:

1. If you know someone who disappeared and you don't mind answering questions, let me know.

2. I've been told that this is the second incarnation of Landel's Institute. If you have any information about the first one, I'd like to talk to you in person or on this bulletin.

3. If you remember the answers to any of these questions, please post with the information.

An estimate of how much time passed between nightfall and when you lost consciousness
How many people you traveled with, if you left your room
Where you traveled
Any monsters you encountered

4. If you are a new patient, a detailed explanation of the institute should be posted shortly if past experience holds true.

5. If anyone has any other questions or concerns, leave a comment and I'll try to help.

S.E.E.S., report. We should probably all meet and figure out our game plan.

Also - Takeba, Ken, you've been here long enough to know this. My nurse stopped me from getting warmed up and going running this morning. Is that a normal occurrence?

TURKS! Hey, Turks!

Anything to report?

Sagara! Dude, we have unfinished business to discuss.

To whom it may concern,

It is my duty to advise you that Abarai Renji fell in battle as of last night. In light of this news, Arts and Crafts will not be convening as normal; however, I will ask that three volunteers offer to perform our usual duties of tending to those who have been taken to the second floor for testing. Please post your names here if you are willing to undertake this task.

For all other members, you are free to do as you wish tonight, or as you must.

Fowl, we will need to meet tonight. Bring Abarai-fukutaichou's possessions, including his uniform. I do not anticipate it will take long.

Lucivar, we need to meet first thing tonight. Abarai-fukutaichou had a special request for you.

Thank you,
Captain Hitsugaya Toshiro, 10th Division
Leader of Arts and Crafts
