(no subject)

Are there any thoughts on the theory that aliens are behind our captivity?

In my personal experience, it's the most likely explanation, after "I'm dead and this is the afterlife". (Awfully strange sort of afterlife, though.)

This definitely isn't the afterlife.

Yes.

And from the fact that none of the people here are actually dead. We can tell.

There's something weird going on with time stuff that's got nothing to do with the separation of souls from bodies. Like, the people I know here come from months after I was taken, even though I've only been here ten days. It's... weird.

Aliens are unlikely, unless those aliens have the technology to alter souls, memories, and manuever in and out of the time without disrupting it.

As Abarai-fukutaicho says, this isn't the afterlife, either. We would know.

My guess is that whatever this is has been done by something that is independent from any of our universes.

That's the issue. The best we can do is pick up clues while we're here. If they start to match up with what someone's familiar with, then great. We can use that.

But it's best not to make assumptions and miss vital clues in an effort to force the pieces to fit together the way we want them to.

If you happen to come across anything, I'd appreciate it if you let me know. Not here, where they can read what we say, of course. In person would be best.

I look to be about 13, have white hair and green eyes. I'm easy to find.

You seem relatively new. I've not recognized any of your writings before today. Do you have allies here?
gald_digger: (Whatever.)

[personal profile] gald_digger 2008-02-21 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Seeing as this isn't the planet I was born on, they're obviously aliens.
gald_digger: (Okay but how much is that in gald?)

[personal profile] gald_digger 2008-02-21 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
What else would I Uh, no. Totally human. What did you mean?
gald_digger: (wate wut)

[personal profile] gald_digger 2008-02-21 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
You mean like... weird-looking non-human aliens?

... Seriously?

[identity profile] killing-suzie.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Alien" is a rather relative term, don't you think?

[identity profile] killing-suzie.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it kind of depends on what time line we're dealing with here. There are plenty of races that could do precisely this sort of thing, depending on when exactly we are. Sadly, we don't have a current date, universal or otherwise.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
At most, the aliens back home turned people to salt. They weren't capable of capturing people, for that same reason. Dunno what kind of strange things you ran into.

They were actually made of it, too, and they did that with a touch. Most of the time, the people got turned to salt. Some became like them, and a few people survived the encounter apparently unharmed. Less than all the patients we have here, at any rate.

...Where are you from? I've never heard anything about talking plants or gaseous creatures, and I've probably been to the more remote parts of the universe at some point or another. Then again, we still don't know everything yet.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
You have no idea. And yes, definitely bizarre. But then, what isn't anymore?

...That could be why. My time is...really far off from that. Maybe they all died out, and any records got lost or something.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
It's, uh...been thousands of years, where I'm from. I'm thinking I believe that alternate timeline and/or dimension thing.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Depends. Good interesting or bad interesting? There's a little bit of both, but mankind is still pretty much the same.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Put shortly: war, science, religion, and Things We Don't Understand.

Remember the aliens? Count that as part of the trouble. Hell, my dad tried to conquer his fears by usurping GOD. Ended up killing a lot of people for it.

Religious and political groups manipulating each other, some humans being biologically engineered and ending up a bit unstable. Those religious and political groups causing a bunch of synthetic humans to start killing people at random. Also, the impending end of the universe. Same old, same old.

[identity profile] udo-retrovirus.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably not, but I hope so.

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Aliens? You mean beings not from Earth, right? Well, I guess anything is possible at this point. But if that were the case, why would they bring us to 21st century Earth?

There were aliens around and it was common knowledge? In the early 2000s?

[identity profile] wishescankill.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 07:47 am (UTC)(link)

Aliens are a myth. As I was murdered by a trusted frie companion just before waking up here, I can only assume that we are in a hell dimension. I hope to prove myself wrong, though, by escaping and revenging myself on her (the girl who murdered me. Unjustly. In cold blood).

If I find a way out, I probably won't be able to help you. You'll be trapped here forever in screaming agony until you escape, too. It will most likely be horrible for you.

You're welcome! :D

I think the military is more likely than some kind of alien force, personally.
