It's just something I get told a lot. Most of us can take care of ourselves just fine, back where we come from. It's not the same here. And it fucking sucks. But after a while, you get tired of arguing, because no one believes you until they've had their face eaten by a giant, rotting cat, or whatever. Experience and pain teach, I guess.

Should be. My advice is just make some friends during the day, meet up with them immediately after the doors open at night. Far as I know, no one's encountered one of these things that early. Stick with your people, watch their back, and don't be afraid to grab them and run if things get hairy.

Oh yeah. And if you see a thing that looks like a man with a giant metal wedge for a head, run away from it. Faster than you've ever run before.

We go out with a plan in mind, something that needs doing. But if you see people along the way that need help, you help 'em.
