[The salutation is written larger than the rest of the letter in order to get Gumshoe's attention. The rest is written as normal.]

Detective,

I assume that you are well. I need your assistance in the near future if at all possible. My last attempt at corresponding with you didn't go as well as planned, but I have some faith that this note will find you barring the possibility of you either being incapacitated or absent from the institute altogether. There are a few items that I require and I can only hope that you can assist me in obtaining them.

Regards,

E.

Mr. Edgew

M.E.,

We're all doing fine here, so don't worry about us. I've been doing what you asked. about

Mr. Wright That lawyer has been gone for a while. Is he with you, sir?

If you're reading this, don't forget to

Please, sir! Give me a sign that

If you're out there, I hope you know what you're doing, sir. Just give the word and I'll do whatever I can.

[His signature is messier than usual, but it may be recognizable to some. He has moved away from the board, so he won't see any replies.]

Will you be venturing to my quarters, or shall I meet you at yours later?

I'm curious. Are there enough fans of mysteries here to justify forming our own branch of the Baker Street Irregulars? I'll admit, the selection of mystery novels in the patient library is smaller than I'd like, but perhaps we could share recollections of our own favorite novels?

PW - are you all right?

KG, Prosecutor - we did what we could last night. I haven't seen Junior this morning, but I'm keeping an eye out for him.

Wright, Apollo -

Can I speak with both of you tonight? If so, we'll meet up by the nurses' station on the first floor? Take this down after you've both read it.

-- M.E.

Watson:

I'd like your thoughts on a case, as your differing views often shed new light on situations. Shall I find you after night falls?

As there has been an announcement that new patients are arriving, this is my usual introduction to the institute. I hope it proves helpful.

One important addendum: On Sundays, 'visitors' come to see some 'patients' here. These 'visitors' are from the staff's patient files. They will likely look like someone important to you at home - a friend, relative, or loved one - but there's been discussion as to whether or not they're the real person brainwashed or an actor. Regardless, be on your guard and be careful.

Also, last night's events may render some portions of this information inaccurate. If that is the case, later today, I'll post an update.

Fourteenth: Watch your back.

And finally, [Copies of the roof map, first-floor map, and second-floor map are tacked here, with a note saying, "Please leave the maps here for other patients to copy."]

* At one time, there was a list of patients' names being collected. However, the person behind the list deemed it too dangerous to keep it posted in such a public forum.

[OOC: If any changes need to be made to the maps, please contact me.]

My apologies for not posting this first thing this morning along with the usual primer. I'll do so going forward. Also, my sincere thanks to Lelouch Lamperouge for originally compiling the list. I'm simply reorganizing it and removing the listings for any clubs that seem to be defunct.

A standard disclaimer applies across the board: This is in no way, shape, or form intended to cast aspersion or suspicion on any organization, nor is it an attempt to claim leadership or control of any organization. This post merely serves as a directory, of sorts, for club information. Should any club leader wish to have their organization's information removed or changed in any way, they need only to ask and I will do so.

[OOC: The first-and-second-floor maps being posted here now are new. They are also a group effort, and they should be correctly marked as to what patients should know and shouldn't. Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] subversive and [livejournal.com profile] murasaki_kaze for their help on this, as well as OOC chat and everyone who commented to my post asking for help. If there is anything that needs to be altered, added, or changed, please let me know via the contact list info or an LJ PM, and I'll make the changes.]

I've been thinking over the maps we have now, and thinking that it might be a worthwhile effort to compile descriptions of the various rooms here. I don't mean the ones we're all familiar with, such as the Sun Room, the rooms surrounding it, and the patient blocks - I'm sure we all know those by heart, or will before long.

What I mean are the more 'interesting places' - the second floor and the basement, and places such as that.

Would anyone be interested in working with me on this?

A question:

During therapy shifts, has anyone else had blood drawn? If so, what was the explanation the doctor gave for doing so?

I've taken to posting this information every few days, as new patients come in. I welcome any productive additions.

Detective:

I'll meet you at your room prior to heading out on our little mission? Just a warning, I may be a few minutes late, as someone's stopping by to borrow something before I head out.

Be sure to bring your notebook and take a pillowcase with you. I'll be doing the same.

As noted here, it might be best to make a list of names and patients. I'll take this down at night so that any antagonists can't track people to their rooms. It's easiest to organize by room number, and please list yourself and your roommate.

[list has been put back up for Dayshift 33]

Hopefully this will be of some use to those who have been recently brought to this place.

First, and most importantly: Do not go out alone at night, even if you are an extremely skilled fighter. There are monsters here that can and will kill you; be wary and be careful. It's best to go out as part of a team.

Second, though no less important than the first: Everything the staff members tell you is a lie. Your name, your history, and your "family" are all lies.

Third, we have a little monster problem on our hands at night. This is why you should not go alone at night. Take heed of what other patients have noted about the monsters.

Fourth, we're all from different "worlds" and different timelines. No one, save Martin Landel, who runs this place, knows how or why we were brought here.

Fifth: If you need company at night, it's best to contact one of the club leaders. Homura-san leads the History Club, Colonel Roy Mustang leads the Cooking Club, and Hitsugaya-san leads the Arts and Crafts Club. They post here regularly regarding their missions and how they can be reached.

Sixth: Take note of your "name" and room number and give it to your allies. The staff members take people at night for what's known as a "CM-US Trial", where you're at their mercy. These have been announced over the intercom system; knowing your name can help others find you.

Seventh: Patients have been known to be controlled by the staff at night. Your friends can and will attack you if this happens; be careful and be cautious.

Eighth: The voice on the radio has proven itself trustworthy. Take the radio with you at night and listen carefully.

Please comment if I have neglected anything important.

-- M.E.

ETA:

Ninth: It's possible for allies to go missing here. We don't know what happens in this case.

Tenth: [Edgeworth has tacked up copies of the Arts and Crafts maps of the first and second floors, with a note saying, "Please leave these here for others to make copies from. Maps courtesy of the Arts and Crafts Club."]

Eleventh: In the interest of keeping track of who is here, I've begun a list of room numbers and roommates, available here.
