There were other patients wounded when we arrived. Gremio wished to cover their escape. Things moved very quickly after that. Jean intercepted the fire cast at me, and was injured that way. Because she was hurt, I insisted she go first, as we retreated. I managed to knock the monster off its feet, but it recovered more quickly than its bulk would have suggested.
