I normally ignore such antics, but I suppose it's my duty as a fellow mental patient and unwitting victim of last night's events to provide an objective account. Everything here is from memory, edited only for grammar and distasteful language. My fellow bus mates are free to verify or deny the information provided.
The incident began with Mr. Villiers (marked as V) addressing everyone at the head of the bus. A nurse (N), a female patient (F), and an orderly (O) eventually joined in on the conversation. As a note, I might as well put exclamation marks at the end of every sentence V spoke. He is that loud.
V: So this is it, huh? We just run around outside for a little while whenever they say it's okay then we file in when it's time to go back? Then what? We sit around and wait like a bunch of trained dogs 'til they give us the okay again? That what you all want? Listen, I get that not everyone here's a fighter, but if we just keep going along with this, we're going to stay stuck in here forever. Don't you see? We can't do it anymore. We can't just do nothing. The way I see it, you can all sit around day after day and wait for someone to come along and save you, or you can stand up and make something happen yourself. Don't let them trick you into thinking you're helpless. You're not. You just got to stand up and try.
N: Mr. Davidson.
V: We can all get out of here right now if we want. But we all got to do this. Together. We only get one shot.
N: Mr. Davidson. Mr. Davidson, please. Take your seat. [Inaudible sentence. Something about time, I believe.]
V: I'm not sitting down. We've been sitting here and taking this long enough. You want us to go back? Well, we're not. We're going home. [Here is where he punched N.]
F: [After restraining V with a--very nice, might I add--choke hold.] That was not very nice, was it? Hitting a defenseless woman like that. Ms. Nurse, are you alright?
O: Miss, if you'll move to the side, I can take over from here.
V: The h*** are you doing?
[V then started to thrash wildly, forcing everyone to take defensive measures and the bus to careen into the tree.]
[anon]
