Addendum: And to reply to your earlier question, yes, after the initial trauma of being surrounded by dead, animate meatbags (best alleviated by killing), some are in fact "all smiles and rainbows". Although I doubt that the glee that is generated by indiscriminate killing without consequences creates refraction of light.
