People, honestly. How can anyone joke around about experimentation and torture so easily? It's not funny. Stop instigating fights and just use this thing properly. Would it really kill anyone to talk about something nice up here for once?

Saizo's a really cute name, too.

Nah. Always wanted a cat, but Ma was never a real big fan of animals in the house. Never heard of anyone with a pig for a pet though. Is it tough to handle?

They really are. Never got to see one for real, but they're right up there with cats.

Never bothered looking in the pond. Wouldn't it make sense to at least put some fish or something in there? I've actually never been to a water park. It might be fun to go.

I disagree.

That said, no one seems to learn that pushing arguments on to other people is a colossal waste. That goes for almost all of you.

You're welcome to disagree, I don't mind in the least.

But, didn't your mother teach you if you've nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all?

I got to see one from distance with my boyfriend. Cats are cute too. There was one time we found a few abandoned kittens in a box, but we couldn't take them. That night it snowed-

Water parks ARE fun! Well...I think they are. Shuji, my boyfriend, and I went to one on a date. I...forgot my purse on the bus which had our tickets inside, so we weren't able to go in. Luckly, Shuji knew a place close by that overlooked the water park. A show was going on and I was able to see the animals.

I thought so, too.

That's too bad. You could have kept them as an outside pet. That's what Saizo is - although I sometimes sneak him into my room when no one is looking.

And he's a handful for some people, but he's very obedient to me♥

Ah, an exaggerated reaction to being trapped, perhaps.

Platitudes fall a little short in reality.

We don't have much of a backyard or anything. Plus it gets kind of cold and foggy back home. I wouldn't have wanted to leave them out there. Probably get sick.

I never figured pigs would be obedient or anything. That actually sounds pretty cool. Wish I could see him. You know, fur was always the big problem with getting an animal. And that they might cut things up. Maybe a pig might be okay.

A Grunty?

[identity profile] liveforthispart.livejournal.com 2009-05-24 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
So wait. You guys had to leave them out there? I hope someone picked them up before they got froze stiff. I'd have taken them.

Oh. Well, that sucks. At least you guys got to see some of the animals anyway. I heard some people talking about some field trip or something they plan to do for this place. Maybe there'll be animals wherever, too.

Re: [anonymous]

[identity profile] cannotlogout.livejournal.com 2009-05-24 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an animal that you use for transport in The World. You have to raise them from babies usually, although there are wild ones too. There's all different kinds. The normal ones look like this:

[A picture of a grunty (http://webpages.charter.net/sanjigrrl/grunty.jpg) has been drawn below]

But there are different kinds you can raise by giving the babies different foods.

We were hoping that somebody would take them. Shuji left a small bowl of milk he picked up recently before we had to go. Sadly, the next morning they froze to death. I gave them a proper burial.

There's a field trip tomorrow? I hope it's somewhere nice. Maybe it's near a water park, or a zoo!

Hmph. It would appear so, unfortunately.

At least you have proved that not everyone else has lost their touch with reality. It is quite refreshing to receive input from another reasonable person here.

Yet another person of a surprisingly rational mind. Agreed. These adages may sound promising in theory, but they rarely work well in practice.

What is this garish, glittery rubbish?! It has no place on the board!

This is a perfect example of what I was discussing earlier!

[anonymous]

[identity profile] notachick.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, that would probably not be very good. You could build your pet a little house, but nothing beats snuggling up inside with the master when the weather is poor.

I wish I could see him, too. He's probably bitten everyone in the complex without me there to tell him to be nice.

All animals can be trained to be good pets. It just takes more time with some.

The World? You ride big pig-cows across the entire world?

Do they swim well?

[Strikes readable with a little trying]

[identity profile] cannotlogout.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Not the whole world, The World. Yes. It makes travelling from field to field a lot faster than walking.

Um, that doesn't really come up.

I only did so in an attempt to discourage others from continuing to post excessive nonsense on this board. If they were previously unaware that it hinders legitimate use of the board, now they certainly know that it does. Thus, they have no excuse to waste valuable space on it.

Don't you think it's import--

Never mind. I'll keep living as I've been living, and treating others how I wish to be treated.
