A telepath is someone who can read minds, of course. A psychic, although generally people like me use the word 'psychic' to refer to anyone with mental powers beyond the norm - telepaths, telekinetics, precognitives, etcetera. So it's a much more general term.

But I'm sure you're not hiding a thing in that pretty little head...

Sticks and stones, sweetheart. What I'm hired for determines whether or not my talents are used for horrible ends, which lies more with the person who hires me than myself. And as for charging...if I were a scholar, I'd charge you for translating a book. As a telepath, I charge you for translating a mind. It's the economy at work.
