My Captain,

Please contact me.

Admiral ZEX

TEE ZEL ♥,

I think you still have my pipe. Should we arrange another meeting tonight so I can get it back...?

Admiral ZEX

[this note is addressed to no one in particular]

I would be very grateful if some of you would be kind enough to answer a few questions for me.

First,
Has anyone encountered a humanoid creature on the second floor, near where the Sunroom opens up? She looks something like this.

My apologies for my poor rendition, I'm not an artist and my arm isn't cooperating today. She had long black hair, wide beautiful eyes, and did not speak, although I believe she was sentient. She also had the ability, somehow, to only appear visible to certain parties, and become immaterial at will. Someone described her as a "ghost", although she seemed alive enough to me, and she left behind evidence that she was there. Has anyone else spoken to her or encountered her? I would love more information, since I believe I provoked her unintentionally when we last met, so we weren't able to have a meaningful discussion...

Second,
Have any of you found any keys that have not yet been matched to a door? I would be interested in borrowing them to see if they can unlock the doors on the second floor, if you'd be willing to lend me them. They will be returned.
If you have found keys, where did you find them?

Third,
Can anyone tell me what "Ecstasy" or "LSD" are? I believe they are some kind of psychoactive substance. Do they have side effects? What do they do?

Ecstasy: Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Stimulant as well as psychoactive. General feeling of euphoria -- fucks with serotonin levels. Watch for dehydration and hyperthermia.

LSD: Lysergic acid diethylamide. Psychedelic, makes you see things that aren't there. Can make you feel invincible, which around here is a good way to get eaten. Makes a hell of a painkiller.

Neither would be my first choice for safe clean fun. Not enough data, complex interactions with body chemistry.

P.S. Do you have some?

Yeah. Neurotransmitter. Which are chemicals used to pass messages from neurons the brain to the body.

You don't need mass quantities of acid LSD. It doesn't take much. Couldn't do it with what I've seen here so far, but any decent lab could make it given a supply of ergot (a fungus that produces the primary precursor).

Hey, Admiral... I haven't seen your Cap'n floating around too much either. Not gonna sound like an alarmist or nothing, but if you see him before I do, be sure to let him know that I want a chat, too?

Let's hope that's the long an' short of it. Never gets easy just waitin' on someone.

Anyway, how you holdin' up? Been awhile since we last had a chat.

It would explain a lot, but it doesn't feel right. And getting the dosage correct for this many people without our knowledge would be a bitch.

There's also the little matter of the patients here who simply refuse to eat if they can help it. I've met one, and know of another.

Admiral...? My nurse says has something

I think I misplaced yesterday. Is everyone all right?

[identity profile] captain-hunam.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Hey.

~ Captain

[identity profile] captain-hunam.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry, I didn't mean to... actually, I don't know what happened. But I didn't mean for it to worry you.

That's good. And how've you been? How did your arm get hurt?

The nurse says I was sick. I don't remember yesterday at all, though. (I only misplaced one day, right?) And I don't think I had any plans, so we could meet... right now, actually. Or maybe next shift?

[He's booked for lunch and fourth shift. :D;; BUT HE'S FREE FOR FOODINGS or for... whatever next shift is~]

Are you sure that it was a human that attacked you? I'm not so sure...

[identity profile] remnantsofflame.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
I've never met a human that can be invisible like that, but I remember you had some of her hair.

Maybe you can get someone who used to be a researcher to analyze it? I'm not sure how that works.

Be careful. I really don't think that was a human at all.

[identity profile] remnantsofflame.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Variants? I don't know about that. Maybe in another world they have something like that.

I don't really believe in ghosts, but maybe Teisel was right. She really might have been a ghost. I didn't know ghosts could hurt people, though.

You sure you're okay?

[identity profile] chocomancer.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
Admiral,

If you still have this, I'd be interested in seeing it. I may even be able to tell you if I've seen anything like it before.

I've come across her. If you see her again, I'd steer clear. Trust me, you do not want a meaningful discussion with it.

[scribbled, almost as an afterthought]

Can I ask what the evidence she left behind was?

[identity profile] rope-victim.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 09:29 am (UTC)(link)
...DON'T GO LOOKING FOR HER AGAIN.

[identity profile] captain-hunam.livejournal.com 2009-03-28 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Wish I knew. Then I could avoid doing it again.

... Sure, ZEX. I'm sure it was all a misunderstanding. But maybe you shouldn't go out seeking things that'll try to kill you? It's already been the death of you once

Yeah, that sounds about right. Good to know I haven't missed too much.

See you then, Admiral. Take care.

[Ha, Captain already seems to have a Peter Petrelli for breakfast, so uh THEY CAN MEET AT NIGHT I GUESS? <3 ]
