I would be very grateful if some of you would be kind enough to answer a few questions for me.

First,
Has anyone encountered a humanoid creature on the second floor, near where the Sunroom opens up? She looks something like this.

My apologies for my poor rendition, I'm not an artist and my arm isn't cooperating today. She had long black hair, wide beautiful eyes, and did not speak, although I believe she was sentient. She also had the ability, somehow, to only appear visible to certain parties, and become immaterial at will. Someone described her as a "ghost", although she seemed alive enough to me, and she left behind evidence that she was there. Has anyone else spoken to her or encountered her? I would love more information, since I believe I provoked her unintentionally when we last met, so we weren't able to have a meaningful discussion...

Second,
Have any of you found any keys that have not yet been matched to a door? I would be interested in borrowing them to see if they can unlock the doors on the second floor, if you'd be willing to lend me them. They will be returned.
If you have found keys, where did you find them?

Third,
Can anyone tell me what "Ecstasy" or "LSD" are? I believe they are some kind of psychoactive substance. Do they have side effects? What do they do?

Ecstasy: Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Stimulant as well as psychoactive. General feeling of euphoria -- fucks with serotonin levels. Watch for dehydration and hyperthermia.

LSD: Lysergic acid diethylamide. Psychedelic, makes you see things that aren't there. Can make you feel invincible, which around here is a good way to get eaten. Makes a hell of a painkiller.

Neither would be my first choice for safe clean fun. Not enough data, complex interactions with body chemistry.

Yeah. Neurotransmitter. Which are chemicals used to pass messages from ~~neurons~~ the brain to the body.

You don't need mass quantities of ~~acid~~ LSD. It doesn't take much. Couldn't do it with what I've seen here so far, but any decent lab could make it given a supply of ergot (a fungus that produces the primary precursor).

I see. So this substance alters how the mind works... interesting.

I don't want to manufacture any myself... it just seems that it could explain a few of the things one sees here if they were drugging us regularly.

I heard he spent most of the previous day asleep... perhaps he's gotten sick? I hope he's alright. I'll let him know you were looking for him when I see him.

I'm doing well! I had a bit of trouble last night, thus my poor handwriting... one of my arms is injured. But otherwise things seem to be progressing quite well.

Although, I haven't had a chance to get close to a human in some time...

It would explain a lot, but it doesn't feel right. And getting the dosage correct for this many people without our knowledge would be a bitch.

I spoke with the Spathi yesterday, and he seemed to be doing as well as a Spathi can under these conditions. I haven't spoken personally with the Shofixti, but I've been in somewhat regular communication with him through these notes, and he seems none the worse for wear after his unpleasant experience the night before.

Ah, that. Well, the female human I mentioned above must have felt threatened by something I had done, since she attacked me in what I'm sure was self-defense. Understandable of course, but I did have to defend myself... in the process I got cut a little, nothing serious. I do hope that she'll forgive me... I'm sure she didn't mean to hurt me. I should try writing her a note herself. Perhaps she'll respond...

She appeared human! Well, her head was bent very sharply at the neck, and she made this strange sound when she moved... but I'm almost certain she was human.

I've never met a human that can be invisible like that, but I remember you had some of her hair.

Maybe you can get someone who used to be a researcher to analyze it? I'm not sure how that works.

Neither have I, but I haven't met any creature that can make itself invisible without the use of a cloaking device, and the Ilwrath guarded the secret of that jealously. Although...

No, that still doesn't explain how things went through her though. It all seems so unreal now.

Variants? I don't know about that. Maybe in another world they have something like that.

I don't really believe in ghosts, but maybe Teisel was right. She really might have been a ghost. I didn't know ghosts could hurt people, though.

I don't know as much about your species as I'd like... but it seems that her behavior is unusual. Hmm.

It's hard for me to believe she was a spirit when she seemed so real. I dislike having no explanation, but I don't find that one entirely satisfactory. I suppose we may never know, unless she decides to tell us herself...
