No, it did. I cannot claim to be who I once was, as I am not him; I've only the memories and a similar body. It is a complicated situation, and I'm afraid it will not happen a second time. That second death is more permanent ~~and more painful~~, at least in that world.

If you had died before arriving here, I'm afraid that were you to return, it would be much the same story.

I see... it sounds as though yours is a singular case, as I've never heard of something like that before. Although, it does sound somewhat similar to what happens here to those who are not human... memories and personality transferred into a new body. I didn't think that was possible outside this place.

I am alive, but I didn't recently become aware that I shouldn't be until now. I've enjoyed some of my time here, surely... but the prospect of being trapped here eternally, in a body that's not mine, doesn't exactly appeal to me. I do concede that it could definitely be worse, though...

It's not so much the inevitable death that bothers me about it... this body is just so awkward. I can't do nearly as much with it as I could with my natural one... I feel that I'm missing some singular opportunities this way.

Ah yes, you mentioned not being human somehow... I still find that rather mysterious. I wonder if that's the case for me... my spirit inhabiting some foreign body...

I'll definitely be looking forward to it, in which case. Even if there are some unfortunate restrictions during the day... but perhaps we can find some way around them? Or the punishment perhaps won't be enough of a deterrent... I suppose we'll have to see!
