I see. My personal theory about this ran along similar lines, although questions do arise when someone who was in no danger comes here. If their "original" body is continuing to exist wherever they came from, then they are existing in two places at once... in which case, they are already fundamentally different from their "original" state of being, and now you have two separate individuals that are ostensibly still the same person. What happens when that person leaves this place? Do they replace their original? Does their original replace them? Does the act of coming here automatically fission someone into two separate beings, one here and one there? Can the two reconcile, whether or not one is alive or dead?

I apologize if my reasoning is murky, I don't often spend time thinking about this sort of thing.

If you do find such an ability, to replicate missing bodies and initiate such a transfer, then I would be very interested in it.
