I don't presume to speak for others, but occasionally patients are taken at night for...experiments. It's useful to know what names the nurses call others, as the names are occasionally announced when that happens - if an ally is taken, others can launch a rescue mission.

I speak from personal experience when I say knowing that might be the difference between life and death in a case such as that.
