I always found that whole 'joining of two souls' thing fucking hilarious. It's a recreational activity if people do it for fun. And across the world, people do. This isn't some kind of romance penny dreadful.

Maybe it's changed in the modern world because you live such soft lives. But the ultimate symbol of love and loyalty is fighting, killing, and dying for someone. There is nothing more real than that.
